About the Author
J. Parker has been writing at the Hot, Holy & Humorous blog since 2010, using a biblical perspective and a blunt sense of humor to foster godly sexuality. Her mission to encourage sex in marriage by God’s design was inspired by her personal story and God’s beautiful nudging. She has been married for twenty-three years to a faithful and far less talkative husband, has two teenage sons who are proud of what Mom does and never want to read a word of it, and lives in Friendswood, Texas, a bedroom community between Houston and Galveston. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in counseling. When she is not writing or speaking about godly sex or conducting “research” with her husband, J writes teen fiction; hugs, disciplines, or cracks jokes with her kids (whichever is needed in the moment); and daydreams about having a personal chef and an on-call massage therapist.

5 "Fun and Informative" STARS! Told in a humorous, yet fundamentally and spiritually sound approach, J. Parker shares with women the value of a healthy sexual relationship within a marriage. She doesn't hold back! With light (and not-so-light) details, she arms and enlightens the Christian woman with information to help disclaim many of the inaccurate beliefs Christian women are raised with. - many times using Song of Solomon and other scripture as an appropriate reference to help discern. This is the perfect book for new or young married couples to help remove many of the stigmas associated with sex that young Christians grow up with and then are expected to toss aside because they are now married. I've been married 21 years and I feel like this book would have helped through many of the beginning years where we just fumbled through, because of immaturity, non-communication or simply miscommunication. Even women in older marriages will benefit from much of the insightful material especially if you are hindered by man-made religious laws vs. Biblical truths. I enjoyed this quick read and will hold onto it as a quick future reference. I received this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
