A rebel on the run...

Victoria Royal is a traitor. Or so the U.S. Government believes. Victoria was once a promising sniper in the Army, but now she's gone rogue-worse, she's just landed in the middle of a Hostile Operations Team mission in the desert and blasted it all to hell.

Nick "Brandy" Brandon doesn't expect to run into Victoria when he's bugging out from a mission gone wrong. It's been more than three years since she disappeared from the sniper course they were in together, and he's finally stopped thinking about her killer curves and smart mouth.

But now she's back-and she's far more dangerous than Nick ever believed possible... Is she really a traitor? Or is there something more at stake? He has to decide fast-because time's running out and too many lives hang in the balance...

Hot Rebel is a perfect example of when you think there is just no way the latest in a series can beat the previous stories - but totally does! Lynn Raye Harris has written another exciting, heart-pounding, edge of your seat, delicious installment of the HOT team. Hot Rebel's first page landed me right in the middle of an Op and it was go go go for every exciting chapter thereafter. When the Op goes wrong the last person sniper Nick "Brandy" Brandon expects to fly through the door is Victoria. Victoria disappeared off the grid half way through sniper training three years ago. He never did know if she was kicked off or if she went AWOL or quit. Victoria's sniper skills were on par with Nicks and he remembers her well. Victoria however only has the memory of the constant teasing and ribbing Nick would constantly shower her with. Fate works in mysterious ways and Nick and Victoria are thrown back together and have to work together to achieve their goals. They don't trust each other and having to rely on each other is completely foreign. The only thing they can trust is their feelings. Nick has an elusive target he needs to eliminate but Victoria needs the target alive for her own personal reasons. For three years she's been searching the desert and finally she's within reach of the pot of gold. Nick and Victoria sizzle together. They are a match made in heaven. Nick laughs in the face of his fellow buddies who are slowly falling one by one from the strike of Cupids arrow so guess who has the last laugh when Cupid sets Nick up in the firing line? With Cupid being a bit of a sniper Nick is lost. Victoria's beauty, skills, braveness, stubbornness, clear headedness, body, are all incredible to Nick. Victoria is ah-mazing! She's such a cool gal, she's fearless on the outside, she's got incredible skill and loyal to her family until the bitter end. And she's so brave - she takes the first tentative step with Nick. I loved the build up. Together Nick and Victoria had me experience many emotions, from tears of laughter, tears of joy all the way through to the sniffles only the pain a broken heart can cause. The locations were described with such clarity I felt was like I was there right among it, when things went pear shaped my heart was pounding, when Nick and Victoria are captured I felt the fear, when Victoria has the Russian lined up in her sites, my breath was held. I felt every page. The story flows and rolls along up and down with heart pounding excitement, the first thing I did when I reached the last page was let my breath out. There was so much front line action I wholeheartedly applaud #6. Thank you so much for the Netgalley copy so I could provide my honest opinion. My honest opinion is that Hot Rebel totally deserves every single one of the five shiny stars I award it!

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, betrayal, suspense, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Hot Pursuit (Hostile Operations Team, #1) Hot Mess (Hostile Operations Team, #2) Hot Package (Hostile Operations Team, #3) Dangerously Hot (Hostile Operations Team, #4) Hot Shot (Hostile Operations Team, #5) This is Victoria and Nick “Brandy” Brandon’s story. Victoria will do anything to find her sister even become a traitor. She needs to get her sister back no matter the cost to herself. Nick came across her while on a mission. They need to figure out if she is working with the good guys or the bad guys. When she is almost taken out they send Nick in to join her team. Can he investigate and keep her safe at the same time? Who can they really trust? They don’t know the target. Her sister is still missing, and they get captured. Can they make it out alive? Will she ever get her sister back or is she gone forever? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I am tired of these virgin books. Please. You are supposed to believe she is a sniper, tough girl and she has never had sex. Enough of these type of thoughts. I can't stand authors who do the virginity thing.

Full of alpha males and the sassy women who love them (and who they love), plus a ton of action and adventure, Harris's HOT series is so much fun!  I'll be honest - I've skipped a couple of stories and I have absolutely no idea why.  They are fast-paced, engrossing and include a group of totally addictive characters.  There is some overflow in the plot but, speaking as someone who has missed books 4 and 5, it isn't that big an issue. Lynn Raye Harris delivers another wonderful addition to the Hostile Operations Team series with Hot Rebel. This book had me from page 1, I could not put this book down til I read the whole thing. Nick "Brandy" Brandon and Victoria Royal meet under dangerous and tense circumstances with a bang. The chemistry between these two is combustible. This book has it all, drama, action, secrets, strong family ties, mystery and of course HOT sex and romance. The comradery between the Hostile Operations Team is special too. Check this book out, you will not be disappointed I wasn't. All the books in the H.O.T. series are great, you'll  want to check them out also. I am so looking forward to more books in this great series. Lynn Raye Harris is an auto buy for me, a talented author.

I was lucky enough to get a review copy thanks to the author through NetGalley. I love the HOT series from Lynn Raye Harris and was excited to read Hot Rebel. I have to say the HOT series is my favorite from Lynn Raye Harris. I really enjoy her Harlequin books, but love the hotter books she writes for the HOT series. Add in super sexy military men, and I've been hooked from the very first book. Victoria Royal might be one of my favorite characters ever. She is a total kick-ass heroine who can shoot as well or better than any man. Nick "Brandy" Brandon, aka 'Preacher Boy' and Victoria were in sniper school together and have always butted heads just a bit. Nick and Victoria have amazing chemistry together and I could feel it from the first moment they saw each other again. I love how both Nick and Victoria are so protective of their families. While they take different steps to keep them safe, they both have such strong protective instincts. Nick and Victoria were amazing as a couple, but I loved even more how well they worked as a team to take down the bad guys.  Hot Rebel is another fast-paced super sexy military romance and I can't wait for my next fix in this series! I have an idea as to who the hero will be in the next HOT book, and am super excited to get his story.

Two alpha soldiers, the pilot light of an old flame still burning, brought together again by fate. Victoria has been branded a traitor, but the crack sniper is anything but. She is a sister trying to rescue family from the clutches of evil. Nick was the best of his training class, followed by Victoria, and like a school kid, he showed his attraction to her by taunting her abilities. Years have past and the over-protective hot soldier and the deadly, yet vulnerable mercenary come together in a volley of shots. Determined to take her in, he will stop at nothing to capture her and bring her over to the “light” side, but he didn’t prepare himself for the truth behind her “defection.” Hot Rebel by Lynn Raye Harris will explode off the pages with strong characters caught in the cross-hairs of justice, love of family and a mission that seems impossible. Speaking of explosive, and caught in the cross-hairs, Victoria and Nick are NOT superhuman, but the steam coming off my e-Reader may have added to global warming in a big way. Lynn Raye Harris knows how to scorch each page with action, suspense and major high intensity romance. Strap yourself in and enjoy the ride!

Hot Rebel features a lot of suspense and action. The characters are well developed; their histories explain a lot about the actions within this story. The book is a stand-alone, but is part of a series; you don't have to have read the other stories, but I believe any first time reader will want to get the others after reading this book. I know I can't wait for the next book, and am hoping that a very mysterious character in Hot Rebel makes another appearance, because I really want to know who he is.

I can't get enough of these guys! This series has so much going on with action, romance, and smoking hot men. Each installment follows along with one couple, but the team always pops up in there somewhere. This time it was Nick's turn at a little action with a rival sniper from his past. Victoria is just doing her job trying to get closer to her sister when she runs into Nick. From there they're working together to figure out what's really going on with Victoria's job and sister. The sexual tension and quick witted barbs spark enough heat to set my Kindle on fire. Loved every minute of reading this book. I can't wait to watch Iceman and the colonel fall under some woman's spell. If you like action with your romance then this series is for you. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Best one in the series! If you love heroines who don't need saving, this is for you. Victoria was a fantastic heroine - tough, focused, loyal, but she also had a vulnerable side on the other side of her walls. As more of her sister's background was revealed, I did question Victoria's unwavering loyalty and her willingness to risk so much for Emily's poor choices. But the more I got to know Victoria, the more I understood the whys of it all. I loved how unsettled she became around Nick. Before they were thrown together, she'd always been cool, calm and collected. And calculating. Her virgin status wasn't as big a deal as it usually is in other books. She wasn't holding on to it for religious or personal reasons or out of social awkwardness. She'd just been extremely focused on bigger issues in her life that it simply never happened. Despite his reservations about being her first, Nick was thoughtful and sweet by giving her every opportunity to change her mind, which she forcefully rebuffed like a woman in charge. I loved the playfulness between them in that moment and the non-frantic coupling. In its own way and under those circumstances, it was about as perfect as it could get. The more they engaged, the deeper the feelings got, and I enjoyed their journey in acknowledging that they could have something special if they really wanted it. The author kicked up the hotness in this book. I don't remember any other couple being this....well, hot. The action and suspense did not play second fiddle to the sexual relationship. The balance was handled so well that I got the best of both worlds. The settings were described so well, and in great detail, that I could picture everything with great clarity. The foreign location made this anything but boring. Without the creature comforts of home and questions about loyalty flying around, I was constantly in the moment questioning everyone's motives. Victoria got a chance to shine at the end, and for once, the hero needed saving, not the other way around. THAT was awesome! Hot Rebel had the perfect balance of adrenaline fueled action and romance and sex. The tough heroine was an equal match for her hero, and I loved that the roles of playing savior were reversed for a change. If you haven't read any of the book in this series yet, I highly recommend picking this up. The best part about this series is that you could start anywhere and not feel lost. But keep in mind that all the heroes and their better halves make an appearance, so for some, that might be considered a spoiler. But seriously, snatch this one up. *Complimentary ARC provided by the author for the purpose of an honest review*
