Cool under pressure... Until now.

Hostile Operations Team sniper Jack "Hawk" Hunter is cool, methodical, and utterly lethal. Nothing rattles Jack's calm. But that was before he learned he fathered a child three years ago-a child who has just been kidnapped.

Gina Domenico is a superstar, a pop sensation with a string of hit records. But deep inside, she's still the lonely girl she's always been. When Jack saved her from an arms dealer, they spent three unforgettable days together waiting for rescue-and Gina fell hard for the sexy soldier before he walked away forever.

But now she needs his help and she'll do anything to get it. Though Jack can never forgive Gina for keeping his child from him, he'll do everything in his power-and HOT's-to bring their son home safely.

Nothing is what it seems, however, and their fates hang in the balance as someone else pulls the strings...and brings them ever closer to an explosive confrontation that could either save their son-or cost them everything.

This book is a HOT SHOT! I loved the book from start to finish. It's got action, hot romance, drama, suspense and a hint of humor. Everything I look for in a book is here. It's perfect! Jack and Gina. . . WOW!!! The chemistry between them is undeniably scorching. Definitely HOT!!! Lynn Raye Harris did a great job writing this book!

While I really enjoyed the passion between Jack and Gina, I felt that a lot of the heat was often overshadowed by Jack's anger with Gina for withholding the fact that they had a son together, and the hurtful things they kept saying to one another. Gina wasn't my favorite heroine in this series, mainly because the other women had done a better job of fighting for themselves in rough situations and fighting for their loves. Due to the emotional roller coaster she found herself on, it wasn't surprising that she spent a lot of time reduced to tears. There were moments where she showed some backbone, but they never seemed to last. I started out feeling sorry for Jack and his profound loss, and I understood his anger toward Gina. I had hoped he would have put the ghost of Hayley to rest by saying goodbye to her and really put an end to that chapter of his life. For someone who let her linger there for three years, to the point that it made him feel guilty for having feelings for Gina, I thought he got over his hang up a little too easily. I'm struggling to find more to say about them, but I'm drawing a blank. She would ask for forgiveness, Jack remained stubbornly angry, they argued, they had sex and then the cycle started all over again. The drama was broken up by bits of action that had Jack having to rescue her and their son twice. From beginning to end, their lifestyles seemed like a chasm they had almost no hope of overcoming. I enjoyed the emotional tug of war, but it was a little too much. The suspense portions and twists were what reeled me in and kept me reading. I love the loyalty and special bond among the H.O.T. team members, and seeing them in action is always thrilling. Unfortunately, this time around, I missed the usual heart-thumping action I've grown accustomed to by this author. This story wasn't my favorite, but it was still worth the read. I think there was a set-up for Nick's story and Victoria, a female sniper he once knew. I love tough heroines, especially those in the same line of work as the males so I'm looking forward to reading that one. If you're a romantic suspense fan, you should still give this series a serious shot. **eARC courtesy of the author/publisher via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review**

Accurate Aim Once again Lynn Raye Harris wrapped us up in the magic of the Hostile Operations Team(HOT) team and now it's Jack's turn. I always pictured Jack as the strong silent type who got the job done and that was that. One chance encounter with Gina as he waits for his team to rescue him we glimpse the man beneath the illusion. When Gina calls Jack needing help he realizes that the past never stays buried. From there we embark on a action packed adventure filled with combustible chemistry and a secret that changes everything for Jack. I so can't wait for the next book because this team gets better and better.

What a great series and author. This book is just one of them and it is so darn good as all the others. I love them.... They office just enough humor to make it interesting and enough sex to make it "hot"

My favorite of the series! I really liked how there was more to the story instead of waiting til the very end to see that the guy and girl get their happy ending. Of course that happens but there was more substance to this story. Highly recommend.

4.5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, betrayal, suspense, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Hot Pursuit (Hostile Operations Team, #1) Hot Mess (Hostile Operations Team, #2) Hot Package (Hostile Operations Team, #3) Dangerously Hot (Hostile Operations Team, #4) This is Gina and Jack “Hawk” Hunter’s story. Jack is just supposed to complete a job but when he sees Gina he takes care of her problem also. They spend a few days together waiting on his team to get him out. Years later she needs him and calls him. She drops a huge secret and then a bomb. He has a son and someone has kidnapped him. As they work together to get her son back she wonders if he will ever forgive her for keeping the secret. Just when they get him back and think that the danger has passed both Gina and his child are taken again. Can he get them both back or are they gone for good? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

A must-read entry in a fabulously HOT series by Lynn Raye Harris I have to admit that while I really enjoyed Hot Shot, the fifth book in Lynn Raye Harris’ Hostile Operations Team series, it never grabbed me like Dangerously Hot, book four, did.  While I definitely enjoyed the story of HOT sniper Jack “Hawk” Hunter and pop diva Gina Domenico, for some reason neither of the protagonists were as appealing to me as some of Harris’ former heroes and heroines. But that’s just me.  The two met when Gina was staying with a man whose wealth turned out to be from arms dealing. He was Jack’s target and in escaping that situation, he and Gina hook-up and then never see one another again. He's not really over the death of his wife and leaves Gina once they're rescued.  Three years later when her son is kidnapped, the son Jack never knew about, they reconnect to rescue him. Harris throws in some unexpected twists about who the culprits are and keeps the plot moving quickly.  A definite must-read if you’re as hooked on the Hostile Operations Team series as I am. I can’t wait to see which team member is in Harris’ sights for book six! (I received an eARC from the publisher through NetGalley for use in this review.)

I give this book a definite well earned 5 stars I am a great fan of Suzanne Brockmann, but Lynn Raye Harris has taken the top spot above her as my new favourite author of military romance books. I have not read a military romance for a while now but the wait was well worth it. This story is about Gina a famous pop star and Jack (Hawk) Hunter the Hostile Operations Team (HOT) sniper. They meet when Jack and his team are sent to stop an arms deal going down and Gina is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Jack saves Gina and they had to spend 3 days hiding out till they got extracted from the island, and that leads to a baby, kidnappings and attraction so strong that Jack finds it hard to deny, even though he tries. The well detailed story line explains all about the other characters in the book too, giving you a very descriptive view so that you can definitely imagine what is wrote on the page. Well done Lynn Raye Harris for a great read. This is a definite 'must read'.
