A native of Sacramento, California, June Gillam belongs to Sisters in Crime (SINC) and Gold Country Writers, the literary arts wing of the Placer Arts Council in Auburn, California. House of Cuts and House of Dads are first and second in her Hillary Broome suspense series and feature a redheaded reporter in her mid-thirties who writes for a Central California paper and serves as journalism advisor at a local community college. June's poetry and short stories have appeared in venues such as Metal Scratches and America's Intercultural Magazine (AIM).
