First, everything Essie and Steele had to overcome, made for an inspiring story you won't want to miss. That said, Steele is an excellent addition to the extremely hot alpha males in this series. I'm not ashamed to admit that it's the combination of great storyline AND the yummy hot Alphas that have kept me salivating for each next book!

The story of Twist's sister Essie began in his book looking back at her assault and almost death when she was 16. Twist want to jail for beating the guy and the guy went to jail for totally destroying her physically and mentally. Essie went to family in Texas to heal and make a life as a successful theatrical costumer. Current day, The House of Payne is searching for a designer to create a custom clothing line to compliment their high art tattoo designs. Essie wants to be that designer, but she didn't know she would have to compete for the job in a reality cable challenge. Making the final 3, she flakes over a security check and almost leaves before Steele, the head of security for The House talks her into staying. Sparks fly, creativity, passion, and love grow, but Steele has a scarred past which destroyed his heart. When the survival instinct kicks in to fight or flee again these two are challenged to find their happiness. These are two beautiful tortured souls who deserve a beautiful life together.

I really don't like writing reviews, but the thought that you might give this book (series) a pass is just so sad. The characters are flawed, but lovable, the story has a beginning, middle and end so you're not left hanging. But as this is Stacy Gail, keep want a box tissue handy.
