About the Author

Matt A. Casado teaches the upper division hospitality courses and Conversational Spanish for Hospitality Managers and Supervisors at Northern Arizona University, where he has worked since 1988.
Casado is a recipient of the Fulbright Senior Specialists Award and is also a member of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality (NSMH), Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE), the Modern Language Association and the Flagstaff Unified School District Curriculum Council. Casado also serves as an academic advisor to the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality Student Organization.
His current research involves classroom approaches to diversity teaching and classroom anxiety in modern language students.
