Heart disease is still the number one killer of both men and women in this country. Captain Belluardo has written a compelling story chronicling a 20 year journey of learning how to completely reversed heart disease by taking complete control of his healthcare following two open heart surgeries. During his journey of learning and research he uncovered the angiogenesis process allowing him to grow new arteries in his heart and replaced seven arterial bypasses. He treated the cause of heart disease and not the symptoms. He used the natural angiogenesis process to grow new arteries in his heart based on animal research and used himself as the animal test subject. No human researcher has ever attempted to force a human heart into ischemia for the purpose of growing new coronary arteries.
The story also chronicles his motivation, a love of flying and how he learned to fly a real antique "stick & rudder" airplane. He had to prove to the Federal Aviation Administration with documentation that he had completely reversed his heart disease and pass all the required tests for issuance of an airman's medical certificate. The story contains lessons for the medical community, the aviation community, as well as the general public. This is a story that must be told to expose the truth about treating the cause of heart disease and not the symptoms.

About the Author

John spent most of his business career with two companies, first with the NCR Corporation where he worked many years in field engineering, sales and product development. A milestone at NCR was working with Paul Allen and Bill Gates, at a then small computer company, in Albuquerque, NM by the name of Altair Computer. (Paul & Bill then started a new company called Microsoft). He then designed the communications extensions to the Basic programming language that were later adopted by both Microsoft and IBM. In 1981, he left NCR and formed his own company (BASS, INC.) where he designed and manufactured the first portable wireless bar code scanning system for the supermarket industry. The company grew very rapidly and provided a comprehensive suite of applications to regional retailers like King Kullen in New York to international retailers like Walmart. At this point in his life he was plagued with heart related health issues and decided to sell his company. He devoted his time to researching heart disease and completing a life style change. He started to run, and has completed many marathons and half marathons. He has had two open heart surgeries, the first in Dayton Ohio in 1993 where he had 5 bypass grafts installed on his heart, and the second at the Cleveland Clinic where 2 more grafts were installed and his bicuspid aortic valve (congenital defect) was replaced with a human donor valve provided by a young man killed in a car wreck.

His extensive research on nutrition and exercise enabled him to state that regardless of genetic predisposition we Americans are dying of the Western diet. His research on human angiogenesis based on animal models is entirely unique and proves that new arteries can be grown in the human heart and completely reverse heart disease.
