"how the left swiftboated america" is a very hard to put down book. the arthur john gibson who himself is in the media has seen first hand and documents in this amazing book how the left wing aspects of the media have tried to show that president bush is responsible for all the major problems in the world. one of the intresting things I found from this book is that most liberals dont want to take responsibility for there problems and obamas problems they just want to blame it on bush yet the intresting thing is bush is no longer in office. this book shows the many facts that bush has accoplished while in office and how liberals cover up there own problems so they can blame bush and he is not in office . great research to show that the democracts are wrong . great gift idea for a friend or family member.

Everything he wrote is true. George Bush was demonized by the very liberal media. A lot of the young people didn't follow the details of what really happened during Bush's presidency, so they were easy to sway. President Bush was also burdened by a Democratic Congress. So when they complain that he caused this downfall, they never reported that it was the Democrats that played a really big part in all that went on. The truth always comes out in the end, THANKFULLY. Right now I would love to see him back in the White House. At least you know he was a true, loyal American.

John Gibson provides an interesting viewpoint into the methods the Left in general and Team Obama specifically used before the campaign and after to demonize President Bush and conservative America. He includes plenty of examples and quotes directly from the main players themselves. The Left used to rail against the "poitics of personal destruction" when Bill Clinton was in charge, but then use the very tools and tactics themselves againts Bush. The author did a great job exposing leftist hypocrisy in an captivating manner.

First glance at the packed page format may lead you to think it will be pedestrian but it's not. I have no way to judge the truth of what's written but the unrelenting drumbeat of what's presented as fact is hypnotic.

John Gibson is a great propagandist/apologist for George Bush. While he attacks President Obama everyday on the smallest thing he excuses the extreme screwups of the Bush Adminstration. No surprise there, according to the rightwing 9/11 was solely and fully the fault of President Clinton. I believe Clinton deserves some blame, much of the planning happened on his watch. But Gibson is a partisan who can't own up when his side is wrong. The 9/11 attacks happened almost 8 full months into the Bush Adminstration and Bush deserves no blame at all? Those reports of using hurling airplanes as a means of attack. The White House at least a month before the attack had received an intelligence memo titled "Bin Laden determined to attack inside US." I don't believe Clinton was president at that time. Also where were the preparations before that attack? Also, Richard Reid (the shoe bomber) attack happened after 9/11 and on Bush's watch. I understand there is only so much a president can do, especially with a much smaller attack (compared to the 9/11 attacks) as the "shoebomber's" attack but if the rightwing is to be believed then the Kenyan terrorist attack of late Dec. 2009 was a bigger failure by Obama then Bush's failure on 9/11. Does Obama deserve blame, yes of course but when the leftwing criticized Bush they were called unamerican and unpatriotic. Now when the rightwing does the same exact thing they are patriots. Go figure. The rightwing gets away with these kind of things because they have a virtual monopoly on talk radio and the only counter to them is someone like Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow. Hardly an even fight. Second, isn't it ironic that Gibson admits (even if not intentionally) that swiftboating was the usage of a destructive/underhanded political attack against a political opponent as it originated in the dirty attacks on the military record of John Kerry. Was Bush swiftboated? No, though I don't agree with all of the attacks against Bush. Bush was president and he screwed up. He wasn't forced to be president, it was his choice to run just as it is Obama's choice to run for president. Is Obama being swiftboated by the right? For the most part no, though the "birther" and "Obama is a secret Muslim" movements are stupid. The rightwing just can't handle criticism of their leaders.
