While in Hollywood he was also the assistant to Improv founder Budd Friedman and consultant for many Los Angeles and New York based comedy programs, television networks and film studios.
Schwensen is a nationally recognized comedy coach with workshops, comedy business seminars and private coaching. As a talent agent he's scheduled comedians for clubs, colleges and universities, corporate functions, concerts, theaters, festivals and special events. He's been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Hollywood Reporter, Back Stage Newspaper, PBS Television and Radio, and many others.
Schwensen is an award winning humor columnist, entertainment journalist, and author of five books. Keeping his focus on humor and creativity, he has designed and instructs courses in communications and presentation skills for colleges and universities, video conferences for junior and senior high schools, and is a corporate trainer and humorous keynote speaker.
