The book goes back and forth between the lives of 5 friends, Alice, Ruby, Serena, Julie, and Georgia. It is written from the perspective of Julie, the woman writing the book on single women all over the world. They all are single women in their late thirties and still have not found "the one". The book follows them through their lives as they not only try to find real and romantic true love, but realize some interesting things about themselves as well. Reading this book, I learned some signs to look out for so I can avoid meeting a bad apple (if you know what I mean). If you are single and depressed, read this book and don't feel alone! The stories are so quirky and funny and I guarantee everyone that reads this book will be able to relate to it in one way or another. I could relate a lot to the character Alice, and I found new hope that I will meet that special someone, someday...whenever that might be!

A tall skinny girl walks in wearing a crop top and spandex (basically booty shorts) for pajamas. She looks around seeing veronic and shelby. She puts her pillow duffel bag and blanket down. And smiles at the two girls. "Hello im ashlynn strompshkie is this the big slepover." He grins at shelby and veronica thinking about the fun theyll have

Thoroughly enjoyed. Gave me a different perspective on relationships and marriage. Funny as hell and basically a good old comforting chick lit. After reading I'm still looking for "that" next equivalent. I only wished there was more fiction by this author.

This is a very entertaining, light, chick flick in a book kind of read. I would reccomend for anyone looking for a quick getaway or summer read. It is witty and heart warming that is great for any single woman in this world. Enjoy! =)

A tale of women who think about nothing other than their "need" for a mate.

The premise for How To Be Single is a good one. Unfortunately, it's not developed to its full potential. I kept waiting for a climax to the story. However, this book just starts, goes on and finishes without any real change in the pace. I'd rate it "okay." The book is for someone with extra time on their hands and nothing much to do. It would be a good book to carry around to keep your mind occupied when waiting for a doctor visit or a plane. It's not a book you simply cannot put down. How To Be Single doesn't hold your attention to that extent.

How to be Single is a wonderful story. Part Sex & the City with switching between the women in the story, part adventure with traveling the world. It is heartwarming and reassuring to any single woman out there to read such a funny and realistic look at what it's like to be single on earth. It is beautifully written and keeps you engaged until the very last page.
