This book is definitely one of my favorites about diet. The best concept of the book is that eating is not just about weight loss but could lead to healthy life with energy, vitality, absent of disease and pains, and longevity. This how-to-eat book certainly impressed me as an intelligently written book with a goal to help people understand main elements of eating and offers a refreshing unique diet approach that is complete, practical, and could change life for many people by the power of eating. The approach and the strategies given by the book are very clear, flexible and easy to follow. It is a perfect comprehensive guide book for anyone who desires to improve their diet and overall wellbeing.

An Eating Bible! What's unique about this book is that it gives a compelling big picture about eating. Food, habits, and biology factors are the three main elements that affect our daily eating behavior. What I like about the book is that it is focusing on providing feasible strategies for people to establish long lasting eating habits instead of some quick fixes for the short term. The book's How-To-Eat strategies are: 1) eat the best food 2) avoid the worst food 3) achieve life-long healthy weight 4) choose organic. I particularly like the concept of the book that people should take gradual approach to improve their diet by adding one good food or giving up one bad food at a time. It will certainly boost confidence if you could just focus on improving breakfast by adding one or two good foods. To make it easy for people to follow the book's strategies, the book gives a list of best foods for each major food group (vegetable, fruit, grain, protein, and other food group). It also gives a list of most harmful foods that people should definitely avoid and a list of undesirable foods that were eaten frequently or in large quantity that people should reduce. Another of my favorite thing about this book is that it explains how eating can affect people's energy level, performance and wellbeing instead of just a list of nutrient values. For people who seriously like to lose weight for the long term, this book explains that your own hormone is working to cancel out all your weight loss effort and you need to outsmart your own biology to have long term success. The book offers a new perspective and some very unique strategies for people to manage weight.

It's a great book that brings me back to a lifestyle of healthy eating. When you start paying attention to eating, it's pretty easy to see that the better I eat, the healthier I get. I have totally transformed the way how I eat and approach diet and exercise. This book provides people with the knowledge and approach so desperately needed today to help us get off the path of the standard American diet; a path that leads to chronic disease, unnecessary suffering, & premature death. Instead, the author has forged a path that will enable many to regain their health, lose weight, & enjoy a much better quality of life.
