This 10 dollar book contains 19.....yes 19 pages written in so large a typeface my legally blind grandmother could read it without her glasses from across the room. I learned everything in this book in my 7th grade guitar class on the first day!!!! How about a little quality control. New kindle fire looking good

This was not worth $10 in my opinion. It has 19 pages but if you take away the table of content, introduction, cover, and reference links then the book is less that 15 pages. It has very large font and several photos of bass guitars. I was so disappointed that I have asked B&N for a refund. Since it is an eBook, I doubt that they will honor my request for a refund but if you don't ask you will never know. Words can't adequately describe my disappointment. When the author says they specialize in SHORT GUIDES they mean SHORT. When they say most guides are 30+ pages then they are obviously not representing this book. I expected more. Please do not make the same mistake as I did. Beware.

I play piano and and guitar, but am new to bass. The information in this guide was very comprehensive. I learned about the history of the instrument and its role in the band. How to tune and pluck, and lessons in reading both notes and tabulature for the bass. Someone who does not read music can actually learn to using this guide. I also learned the bass parts for two popular songs. The book also tells you how to set up a practice routine to continue to learn and improve your technique. The links and resources at the end are very helpful as well. I recommend this guide.

So you say you got this you got that. I'm curious to wonder if you have a bigger book I can buy in person containing actual lead sheet trainings and music
