You guys...I have been waiting SO LONG to read this book...and then once I got to read it, I felt like I had to wait FOREVER to be able to share my review with you on release day...but it's finally here! I already REALLY liked Levi from meeting him in How to Date a Nerd, and now, I'm TOTALLY in love with him! I think you guys probably already know about my love of Cassie Mae's books, but if you don't know this about me, let me just say this...READ THEM ALL, like right now! :-D Cassie's characters are often full of weird quirks and snark, and Sierra definitely fits the bill, whether she wants to agree with that statement or not. :) Sierra also has a few (what I like to refer to as) slip-ups into the world of thinking she needs to dress a certain way (like her sister used to), and I just wanted to slap her! She should know better after everything her sister went through! But let's chalk that up to Sierra being young and needing to learn a few lessons the hard way. And Levi...when I found out he wasn't playing the drums any more, I wanted to CRY! I was so sad! But you will discover A LOT about Levi that you didn't know before. ;-) He is a crazy amazing guy, even if he doesn't think he's worthy of being anyone's boyfriend. But seriously, he is a fantastic friend, even if that's all Sierra and he ever will be. (But I have to agree with Sierra, he is DEFINITELY boyfriend material!) This book took me up and down the elevator of emotions! One minute I was grinning, the next a few tears were falling, and a few minutes later, I was laughing so hard I could hardly breath! Here are just a few of the updates I made while reading: 04/13 page 2 "Only 2 pages in and I'm already totally cracking up!! I <3 the MC's voice!" 04/14 page 32 "O. M. G. The conversation in the bandroom?!?!?! DYING OF LAUGHTER!!!" 04/14 page 45 ":( I am feeling sad right now..." 04/15 page 58 "I love the stream of consciousness flowing out of Sierra's mouth right now. :) This is EXACTLY how I would have reacted in her situation. lol" 04/15 page 66 "DUH Sierra! You shouldn't even have to ask that questions! (Sorry, I REALLY want to tell you why I just said this, but no spoilers!)" P.S. That conversation in the bandroom? BEST. DOUBLE ENTENDRE. EVER! ANYWAY, the minute I finished reading this, I was ready for the next one! Here's to hoping we get How to Hook a Bookworm sooner rather than later! GO FORTH AND READ!

I'm loving Cassie Mae's How To series. The books are funny and fresh and super quick reads. How to Seduce a Band Geek is the second in this standalone series and it follows Sierra. If you read How to Date a Nerd, you'll recognize Sierra as Zoe's little sister. If not, you'll still enjoy the book on its own, but should still probably read the first book for all its awesomeness.  In How to Seduce a Band Geek, Sierra has realized she's head-over-heels for her sister's best friend, Levi. Levi is ridiculously adorable and super swoony. He may be a band geek, but he's popular and well-liked by most of his class. Sierra's reputation took a bit of a hit after the accident in How to Date a Nerd and she hasn't fully recovered. She doesn't know how to get a guy's attention outside of wearing revealing clothes and obviously flirting. Fortunately, her sister Zoe is well-versed in how to snag a good guy and she's happy to share her knowledge.  I loved the characters in this book. Sierra and Levi were likable enough on their own, but they were even better together. Levi was dealing with some tough stuff but no one really knew. As he grew closer to Sierra he opens up to her and their connection reaches another level. I just wanted to hug both of these characters. Oh, and fans of Zoe and Zak will love catching up with this adorkable couple during this book.  This book has a whole lot of humor, some swoony moments and even some unexpected depth. It's just shy of 200 pages, so it was a quick read that definitely kept my attention the entire time. Books like this one are why I love young adult contemporaries. I can't wait for the next book in the How To series!  I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book was awesome because I still got to see my most favorite people, Zak and Zoe. They honestly hold such a special place in my heart because they're the two that first had me falling in love with Cassie Mae's work. They're in here folks! In all their geeky glory! And now we get more Levi. And Sierra. And it's just as awesome. Sierra's definitely Zoe's sister. She's made some mistakes, and she's desperately trying to make up for those, every day. She's stronger than Zoe, much stronger. And she's got her sister to help her through all the high school crap. And Levi.  Levi's just a great guy. One you root to get the girl since the moment you met him in Nerd. But we knew Zak was for Zoe. And now it's Levi's turn to get a Livingston. :) Perfect sequel in the HOW TO series! Can't wait for the third!
