About the Author

Evan began his career as a self-defence instructor, teaching reality based self-defence to high-school students and adults. This style of self-defence is designed for surviving the worst and most aggressive situations (e.g. assault, rape, victimisation, bullying, and domestic violence). Evan has taught self-defence for eight years and used it as a means to financially support himself whilst studying psychology at the University of Adelaide and his training in clinical psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. He continues to teach personalised self-defence, whilst working as a full-time psychotherapist and hypnotherapist at his Adelaide clinic.

With the unique perspective gained through working and studying in self-defence, psychology, hypnotherapy, and business, Evan decided that it was time to introduce others to this knowledge through the writing of his first book. Evan's work is designed to be accessible to every reader; avoiding all the unnecessary information and technical jargon, and addressing the issue at hand.

From having worked closely with two therapists, one whose focus is working with people in the fitness and personal development industry, and the other specialising in relationship counselling, Evan has expanded his own understanding about human nature and how people can turn their lives around and find success.
