Overview

As Casey turns 40, she feels that she has nothing to show for her life. Despite the reasurances from her close friends and family, Casey believes being an unemployed widow with three teenage children, is not an attractive proposition. So she takes steps to change her path with some unexpected consequences.

By sheer coincidence, Casey finds herself in the company of Ryan, and it isn't long before they realise how they both feel about one another. However, not everyone is happy about their relationship and a plot is developed to terminate it, at any cost.

After starting a new job, Casey befriends her colleague and line manager Brenda, but her new friend is hiding a few secrets, and it become very hard for Brenda to keep them locked away for long. With a new beau and a new job, Casey feels that she has turned a corner and is finding happiness once again. But how will she react when she discovers what skeletons are hiding in Brenda's closet?

Casey's friends; Amanda, Katy, Rose and Vanessa, have been by her side throughout her traumas, even though they too have had their fair share of misfortune. The friendships are never really comprimised, and the five girls prove time after time that friends are really angels who come into our lives to lift us off our feet when we have trouble remembering how to fly.

About the Author

I am a married, 35 year old mother of three lively children. Despite graduating from university with aa LLB Hons in Law, my current role is a Company Director of a family business. So why write a novel? I have always enjoyed reading a range of genres, and have used the knowledge I have gained to play around with a few short stories. It was because of these humourous ancedotes that I was encouraged to try putting my ideas together and in print. I never imagained I would be able to compile a complete works. Being my first publication I am ready for the emotional rolleroaster ride I have put myself on.

Throughout my life I have met a variety of people who all have a story within them, that simply havent been told yet. I have tried to amalgamate their quirks and mannerisms into all the characters in the hope that they will resonate with the reader. I enjoy people watching, but not in a stalker type way, and I am constantly drawing reference for future roles, so if I have met you, the chances are there is a part of you within one or more of my charcters.

As I was writing, I was constantly eager to find out what was to happen next, which was the catalyst to continue the project to the very end, and I hope the readers will also experience the need to turn the pages until they have finish.
