How to Tempt a Rogue Without Really Trying by Ava Stone is a delightful Regency page turner peopled with wonderful characters. It is part of the Hearts of an Heiress series featuring the three Beckett sisters, who are Bermudian heiresses. Caitrin is a feisty young woman who longs to return to Bermuda and run Beckett Salt, the family's business. She has only remained in London for her older sister Cara's wedding to Lord Darling and to search for a missing friend. Her search lands her in trouble at a brothel and, when she escapes, she encounters roguish Lord Daniel Westham. The attraction between the two is immediate and grows as Daniel helps Caitrin continue the search for her friend. The couple is helped along by the matchmaking talents of the Duchess of Hythe and the Countess of Upwell. They don't stand a chance against these pros! I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading about the youngest sister, Corinna, to see how she lands Daniel's brother, the Duke of Linthorpe. I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

This was such a sweet and romantic story. Caitrin “Cait” Beckett is in London for her sisters wedding and though she loves her sister she longs to be back home in Bermuda. When she left for London she promised a friend she’s look up his sister who he’s not heard from for a while. Daniel Westham while out for the evening with his friend meets Caitrin when she literally drops from a tree in front of him. Intrigued by the beautiful hoydon he must get to know her. Needing to find out more about Cait, Daniel seeks her out and she persuades him to help her find her friend. The last thing he wants is for her to fall from anymore trees. Not looking for a future Daniel and Cait spend more and more time with each other and begin to depend on the other. Daniel sees Cait as a strong, smart and loving woman not the fragile one her family says she is. Daniel may be a rogue but he is Cait’s night in shining armor and she will not believe he is bad for her reputation. With the secret help from aunts and a little give and take, Daniel and Cait just might realize their future can be more then they dreamed of.

Ava can write a sweet book that is still full of passion and tension like no other. The moment she came face to face with him I knew they were going to be a fun couple. There was an instant connection between them that everyone could see. I was not expecting the ending to her search for her friend. I loved how they could understand each other and tell their secrets. I also didn't expect what made him realize he loved her. Caitrin has no plans to live in England or let her heart be broken again. She wasn't afraid to do anything and could take care of herself. I loved her right away because she wasn't going to sit in that room and wait to see what happened. Daniel will melt your heart with how he is with his niece. He enjoyed the way he lived, but that changed when he met her. I loved that he didn't put on an act and even with his reputation everyone loved him. Copy provided for an honest and voluntary review

I really enjoyed Caitrin and Daniel's story! Caitrin is determined to find out what happened to one of her childhood friends. This determination leads her into many scrapes. Daniel helps her out of the first one and ends up being led on a merry chase by Caitrin. There were many twists and turns that kept me on my toes and enthralled till the very end. It was a great addition to Regency Hearts series. I've really enjoyed this series and hope that Stone has more stories lined up for it!

How did I miss the other books in this series?! I love this author and am always rewarded by spending some time in the worlds she creates. Once again, I was not let down in the slightest. Cait is absolutely wonderful in this book and Lord Daniel is her perfect match in every way. Whether he's rescuing her from trees and bawd houses or ex-fiances and overly crowded ball rooms, he tends to find himself in almost as much trouble as she does. Not only did I find myself laughing at their antics, with her incredible writing, I also found tears falling down my face. It takes a lot to get that type of reaction from me. If you're looking for a fabulous historical romance to whisk you away from your every day drama, this is definitely one you should consider picking up. Now, I just have to track down the other 3 books in this series! Thanks so much to Ava Stone, NetGalley, and Night Shift Publishing for allowing the chance to get lost a little in this world and share my thoughts and opinions with others.

The series continues and the three Beckett sisters who lived in Bermuda are all now in London. Cait and her sister Corinna have arrived to attend their eldest sister's wedding. Cait had promised a friend back on the island that she would check on his sister and her good friend while there. That should be simple, right? Well definately not when she ends up meeting Lord Daniel Westham as she is climbing out a window, a window in a brothel no less! Daniel was a great hero with his soft heart and he is definately intrigued by Cait who is so outspoken. Daniel agrees to help her find her missing friend but seems to end up rescuing her from many places! You will find yourself laughing out loud at some of their antics. This is a novella that can be read quickly but you will enjoy the adventure and attraction as it builds between these delightful characters. Lori Dykes

Caitrin Beckett, one of the Beckett Salt hostesses is in London for the wedding of her sister, Cara. One of her friends from her home in Bermuda asked her to look in on his sister who works in a dress shop. Cait goes to the address of the dress shop but it turns out to be a brothel. When she goes inside, she is mistaken for one of the girls. She escapes thru a window by climbing down a tree. At the bottom of the tree, there is a Lucien, her friend from her hometown and Lord Daniel Westham. Lord Daniel is known as a rouge who likes women, a lot. There's another side to him. He has a young niece who adores him. While taking taking his niece for a ride thru the park, he runs into Cait and her Godmother. There is a spark between Cait and Lord Daniel. Her Godmother notices and a matchmaking plan is implemented. As Daniel tries to help Cait find her friend, she confides that Charles Ballentyne jilted her for a girl with more money. She confides things to Daniel that she has told no one else. The attraction grows but she knows that she could never live in England. I love the Beckett girls. They are fun and spirited. Love these books and Ava Stone. I received this book from Net Galley and Night Shift Publishing for a honest review and no compensation otherwise.

I didn't like this one as much as the others. (More a 3 1/2 stars) Things seemed a bit rushed to me. Cait was a lovely heroine who could care less about society and more about her family. We didn't see her making any friends outside of her family. Daniel was a "let the good times roll" kind of hero. He was constantly being warned by his friends (her family) to stay away from Cait, yet no one stopped him. He was constantly thinking about what he wanted to do with her, yet never acted on any of it except a light kiss on the lips while helping to find her friend. I loved Lucien and hope he gets his HEA. There were no real bad guys in this story so the story just flowed without any issues. It was a light quick read with a HEA. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

The Becket sisters have been running their father's business since his death and will do anything to keep it going. Caitrin isn't your typical miss and when she drops out of a tree in front of Daniel, he is instantly smitten. Caitrin has no intention of staying in London. It is dirty and smelly and she really misses the Bahamas. Daniel has no intention of getting mixed up with any young miss but there is just something about Caitrin. Daniel is Caitrin's knight in shining armor and Caitron is the ideal woman for Daniel. Daniel realizes that life is short and he doesn't want to live without Caitron. Will she feel the same way?
