I caution, Human Resources is not for the weak at heart. It takes a strong individual to be an advocate for justice and fairness. The pressures of the role are more emotionally strenuous than any other position within the corporate environment.
Telling a manager that they cannot write-up an employee simply because they "don't like them" or not supporting management with unethical and sometimes unlawful actions or finding justifiable cause in an investigation can cause severe and sustain retaliatory actions. It is through these experiences and more that I am able to unveil the dark side of HR in the corporate world.
