This is a great book! I have already made the snail and am loving it! The patterns are easy to read and follow. I am looking forward to making more and also seeing what else the author puts out in the future.
Tho' I haven't yet made any of the projects yet I did note that most projects seem pretty straight forward, made with basic stitches & simple increases & decreases. Experience levels range from beginner -snake- to a more advanced project like the kanga shown on the cover.I like that the project yarn is listed & that they are made with Lion Brand yarns which are easily found at my local craft store.I even have some Homespun in my stash! Animals are shown in two colorways so you can easily envision a more realistic pig or go all out & create a pschadelic party animal! I love seeing the squirrel & raccoon done up in fun fur & then again in plain yarn. It makes them look like two totally different animals Both my kids ages 13 & 17 (boy & girl)flipped thru the book and have put several on their wish list. My daughter is even inspired to move beyond scarf making & make her own critter! Any of these animals will become a much loved, much hugged toy.
I failed to see the star rating on my first review. Without pictures of the animals included in the book, I cannot make a decision about the quality/usefulness of this book. IF the animals are cute, it would be a good book.....if not, it would be a waste of money. I have never reviewed before, so please excuse my learning curve in this process.
