I have to admit that this book threw me for a loop, I haven't read the past few books in this series so it felt that I was out of the loop while reading certain stuff so make sure that you will read each book in order to fully get this book! It's the girls of PLC having their first school dance and love is in the air or so they seem. While having to deal with making cupcakes, Kylie wishes that someone special will come into her life before the dance. It's when little gifts and notes that start coming into her locker that Kylie wants to catch her secret admire that will lead to friends fighting. Only when they can put their differences aside is when love will happen and friends get to celebrate their first dance together with cupcakes! Other than being kinda lost in the beginning because of myself not reading all the books in order, this was still a pretty good read! All the excited of a first dance was felt in this book, along with all the drama that came with it. The only thing that kinda bothered me about this book was how the cupcakes became more of an afterthought rather than being in the spotlight like it was in the beginning of this series. But then, you do have these girls growing up and facing issues that wasn't really there in the beginning as well so I guess it evens out in the end. Thank You to Sheryl Berk & Carrie Berk for yet another exciting installment in this series! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Edelweiss!
