Who “invented” Economics? Those who think it was Adam Smith will learn alot from the author of this book who traces the origins of the discipline not only to the ancient Greeks and Romans but also as far back as prehistory. In this insightful and entertaining look at world history, Pluta contrasts the roots of human progress to the forces that have opposed it. Fortunately, the sources of progress are winning. Or are they? Very well done!
