Great read, however it was an abridged version which I wasn't aware of at purchase. Would have preferred full version

You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Ramsay fan, and naturally, I loved this book! It gave a real insight into his life and why he is the way he is. My only gripe is with the Nook, not the book, and that's the fact that it's an abridged version, and it didn't tell me that before I bought it. I suppose I should have suspected from the price and the words "special edition" on the cover. I would have bought the full version after I finished this one, but it doesn't seem to be available. Bummer.

This is a quick read book by Ramsey. It goes through he beginnings of wanting to be a chef through his experiences at learning from other chefs to finally he own places. It is well written and paced as not to bog you down with a lot of fluff or filler. A must read for all his fans.

I liked this book-- it was exactly what I expected. Gives readers a bit of an insight about Gordon Ramsey and how he got to where he is today.

Written by a man that is very much direct in words and actions. Did not expect less in the the book...easy reading enjoyed it.

This book left me wanting more. This book is a nice easy read. I love Gordon and thought Humble Pie shared some pretty personal information, stuff that I didn't know. I'd like to purchase a more in depth biography based on my experience with this book. I also think I'm gonna try to use "bolox" and "gobsmacked" in my vocabulary more often!

Wonderfully written! Open and honest and has completely changed my opinion of Gordon Ramsey! He has more than paid his dues and is where he should be in the culinary world. To come from such a disfunctional family to where you are now I give you my utmost respect Mr. Ramsey!

I really enjoyed this. I had no idea that Gordon Ramsay came from such a volatile upbringing. It gave me a new appreciation for him and for all he's done and become. I just wish the story was longer and more in depth, I didn't expect it to be so short. Overall, however, I really enjoyed it.
