What if every choice you made created an alternate reality? In The Journal of Curious Letters, Atticus Higginbottom, a.k.a. Tick, is an average thirteen-year-old boy until the day he receives a strange letter informing him that dangerous— perhaps even deadly—events have been set in motion that could result in the destruction of reality itself. Tick will be sent twelve riddles that, when solved, will reveal the time and place of an extraordinary happening. Will Tick have the courage to follow the twelve clues and discover the life he was meant to live? Tick’s journey continues in The Hunt for Dark Infinity! Mistress Jane and the Chi karda are back. Tick and Mistress Jane race to find the deadly Dark Infinity weapon. But who will destroy it—and who will become its master?

I read this in paperback form but it was a really good book. James Dashner did a good job carrying stuff over from the first book. I think you should read this series if you like fantasy books, but start with this first one "The Journal of Curious Letters" :)

I loved the 1st book and cannot wait to read this one! But I got a Nook for x-mas and was hoping to read it on my Nook instead of lugging around the actual book (plus books are cheaper on the Nook) just to find out that they STILL haven't made a Nook version for this book! Sadly, I am stuck paying more AND having to lug a 2" book around all day): But if you don't mind, this is an EXCELLENT read and will leave you wanting SO much more. If you like this book, I would recommend: (1)The Percy Jackson Series (2)Hunger Games Trilogy (3)The Roar (4)Fablehaven (5)39 Clues (6)Beyonders: A World Without Heroes (7)Twilight (8)The Land of Elyon (9)Atherton (10)Found `~*<3*~` Anonymous(lol)

This book was an incredible read. There couldn't have been a better author to write this book. I absolutely love how well thought out the story line of the book is. It is filled with exciting plot twists that were pleasing. The adventure was clear and very well led. Dashner couldn't have done a better job with the riddles that Atticus and his friends had to solve. The story had amazing details added in to make it far more imaginable. It was so well written a movie could be directly made for the book. Dashner did an excellent job with the settings of the story line. He made them line up perfectly to shoot you directly into the next book with superb understand of what is going on. The book puts the reader on the edge as the story takes wicked turns with precise endings. For this I rate it a 5 star. :)

The Hunt for Dark Infinity is the 2nd book in the 13th Reality series. James has done an excellent job continuing the series with this book. The writing and he plot hold up well and the book is a real page turner. It is also a little darker than the first book.Tick and his friends Paul and Sofia have been spending time together near the end of summer break, enjoying each others company and hoping for a letter from Master George to ask them back for another adventure. It arrives a couple days before the friends are to split up and go back home. They then have a strange encounter with Reginald Chu in the woods near the Cemetery. The day they expect to be winked to head quarters they are winked to a desolate wasteland where filled with strange twisted metal sculptures. It appears Master George is giving them another round of tests and this time they are much more dangerous.Come and read this if you will Who to trust? Who will kill?As you read dangers aboundNeed strong friendships all aroundPlenty of choices Tick must makeThe wrong one could be a life mistake...
