The Kindred books are awesome. I have every single Kindred Novel and as I read each one I just love this series more and more. The author is fantastic at writing about new characters and story lines while still keeping previous characters evolving within the overall series. It is the best romance series that I have read to date. If you love romance, you have to read this series.

This was definitely a great twist on the fanged romance style that I was not expecting. Mixing up a bit of vampire with aliens made this a really interesting concept. I think the best thing about the characters is that they're so relatable. Sofia is a complex character with trauma in her past. The author spends a lot of time developing her throughout the story, to the point where you really feel a connection to Sophia and you are genuinely rooting for her anf feel for her inner turmoil. Sylvan is a great hero as well, and he definitely delivers when it came to the steamy scenes. I love how each book introduces new characters that just leave me hoping they get their own story!

I started reading this series on a whim when I saw it classified as "paranormal other" (which was the weirdest distinction I have ever seen). It turned out fabulous. This series IS sequential, and you should/need to read them in order to know what is going on. Plot arcs do last over multiple books.

The characters are interesting but this sister is a bit whinny, a cry baby, weak and scary ... it took nearly the entire story for her to get a backbone ... I had to skip way too much ... I should have passed on this sister and just went to the best friends story.

Great read! Keeps you on the edge of your seat. But not for the prudish or faint of heart.

If you are a new reader to this book, or perhaps even to the series itself, first I must say: don’t let the negative reviews stop you from reading this imaginative and fascinating series. I am new reader to this series myself and I am beyond glad that I ignored the nay-sayers to read these books. Unlike some of the others I find neither Waterhouse twin (Olivia or Sophia) irritating. I find both girls complex characters and their tales were well worth the read. Now, onto this specific book, Hunted is a fantastic read. Sophia is a heroine that I supported, even more than her sister, Olivia, before her. She has a troubled past, one that makes the reader sympathize and want to protect her, and because of that she has valid fears that force her to be weary of her emotional connection to Sylvan. Sylvan himself is quite the charming character and, as a reader, I spent the entire book rooting for him to heal both his broken heart and Sophia’s bruised one. Together, the pair are something that everyone can root for and adore. The plot of this novel is even more complicated than the first one and it caused my heart to race with both fear and adrenaline. Getting to learn more about the world, and the natives of, Tranq Prime was an interesting journey. The introduction of Sylvan’s younger cousin, Nadiah, was a delightful bright spot of pure happiness in a rather dark part of the tale and I hope that we get to see more of her in the future of the series. The only big complaint I have about Hunted is that I have finished this book. I would adore many more novels about the beautiful relationship between Sylvan and Sophia Waterhouse.

Hunted 'Hunted' by Evangeline Anderson is book Two in the "Brides of the Kindred" series. This story is about Sophia and Sylvan. This can be a standalone book, but beware that Sophia and Sylvan do meet in book One "Claimed" which is the story of Olivia & Baird. Sophia is Olivia's twin sister and Sylvan is Baird 'half brother'. Sophia and Sylvan are having to interact because of their siblings are getting married and they are in the wedding party. Sophia and Sylvan have met a few times before the actual wedding when their siblings were first coming to know each other and in those meeting they didn't get along. Now they find out the day of the wedding that they have to kiss as a 'good luck kiss' for their siblings. But that is just the first surprise of the day for them. After the wedding Sylvan has offered to see Sophia home but on the way they are almost kidnapped and that puts them on the run. It was great watching these two come together along with trying to fight their feelings! I must say after reading the first book "Claimed" if feel in love with Sylvan and Sophia along with this series. This book does in with a HEA for these two but it does leave you with a cliffhanger setting you up for the next book and their story-line. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

After reading claimed the first in this series I had to read on to find out what would happen to Liv's sister. This book has all the right tension an sweetness for a great romance, but there is the hot an steamy parts that make you want to be that girl. Sophie has had a hard time with guys in her past an well her youth in a nut shell wasn't easy but she came out OK she is sweet an lovable with a solid back bone, however even that can't save her from her fears. Sullivan has had his heart Broken an vows never to let that happen again and being a blood kindred he's already cold on the outside now he's taking it all to heart. But sweet an strong will melt his icy demeanor can he cure Sophie's fears?

Enjoying this series. The female main character's phobias got a little tiresome, but the story was so good that I couldn't put it down. The sci-fi is well done. The erotica is not too much. The characters are likable. The aliens are so good that you'll be wishing you were a Kindred bride.
