This book was released in May 2013 last year. I read up to five books a week and I put new releases in my planner sometimes 6-8 months in advance. You can't return ebooks. I read the "coming soon" teasers at the end of the books so sometimes the plot sounds familiar. This re-release is unfair to those of us who already own the title and cannot return it!!! Books should not get new covers this soon. I am very disappointed in Barnes & Noble - the nook should warn us when we are buying a duplicate

Tatyana Petrova is the youngest born in the Petrova family. There is 13 siblings. She has always had the ability to sense the future and has had a special connection to her brother Dimitre. Lately she is getting a sense of dread about Dimitre and strange visions that make no sense. These unsettling visions send her into the Catskills of New York to Dimitre’s new home…but on the way she breaks down in the middle of nowhere and must hike through a snow storm. Hunter Finn, Sentinel of Willow Coven, has been called home. After cutting himself off completely from his coven family, he is returning a stronger and more powerful witch. Braen, the high priest of Willow Coven, has compelled him to return because he believes his coven is under attack from warlocks. Tatyana, half frozen, falls into Hunter’s arms and the sexual attraction instantly ignites. Caught now in the middle of a magical battle, Tatyana is thrust into a world of magic she never realized existed.  Extreme evil, rape, and malicious intent is thrust upon Hunter, Tatyana and the Willow Coven by Hunter’s own family. Will he be able to save his coven family and Tatyana? Guess you’ll have to read Hunter and find out. I loved the family dynamic of the Willow Coven and really enjoyed reading this story. Tatyana and Hunter have a wonderful sensual chemistry. Since this is a debut for this storyline there was a lot of plot building accented by intimate encounters. This is Jacquelyn Frank’s writing as JAX. Hunter is a much more sensual, erotic and highly sexual off shoot from her normal works. The sexual scenes are explosive and highly descriptive. If you enjoy a good erotic, paranormal romance check out Hunter. Great start to what could be a wonderful new erotic series. This ARC copy of Hunter was given to my by Kensington Books in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication on April 30, 2013.

I truly enjoyed this book for many reasons. I like that the men and women of the Willow Coven are strong and courageous, yet caring. They appreciate each other’s gifts not just in battling evil, but as friends. A perfect contrast to the evil warlock coven they are battling. There was mystery, tense drama and action mixed with irreverent humor. I grew to care about the characters. Tatyana is confident and quite humorous, a perfect match for Hunter, the assassin. The romance?....let me just say it hit all the points: tender, caring and hot sensuality. An all around good story and a must read! ***Review copy was provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Great read! Tatyana Petrova is dropping in unexpectedly on her brother Dimitre when her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. With the mountains blocking her cell signal she decides to hoof it to the next house she sees. When she finally spots the lights of the big mansion fitting the description her brother gave her she’s nearly frozen from the cold. Pausing at the front door to get a twig from her shoe she falls into the arms of Hunter Finn when he opens the door in preparation to go out for dinner with his family. Hunter is surprised to have a beautiful woman fall into his arms. Because the house is warded she shouldn’t have been able to find them, yet here she is. In his arms. Shivering and teeth chattering. After getting her warmed up and introduced around they decide to eat in. That’s when things get interesting because she didn’t just fall into the arms of a hot yummy man. She fell into the middle of a coven of witches.  Well-written with excellent characters this story flows smoothly. There is humor, suspense and smoking hot sex. My only complaint is at the beginning. It’s my understanding that this is the first book in a new series. However, starting out I felt as if I was missing a piece of the story. There were a lot of people introduced all at once and when I found out Dimitre and Annali were in a relationship and the coven had been attacked with Dimitre instrumental in the win, I realized their story should have been told first. I want to know how and when they met and experience their story. All-in-all though I loved this story. I look forward to what comes next. *Book source ~ Many thanks to Kensington and NetGalley for providing me with a review copy. Please see disclaimer page on my blog.

Yes, this is a recovered book from a publication of last year. Now, about the book; I truly enjoy a paranormal book that involves kick-ass immortals, witches and bad guys that want to promote evil, this book has it all. I also love when there is a group that either live together or fight together, they have a bond that no one can break and they are brothers and sisters in every sense of the word. This group of men and women are good witches and they live together within the human world without their knowledge. They protect themselves against the evil witches and warlocks that want to kill and destroy anything good. Ryce is the leader and is a wonderful character as one of the most powerful white witches around. He keeps the group together and is happiest when they are all in the mansion living peacefully; he has even built a state of the art nursery for the future witches of the coven, which I think is very sweet for this large alpha male. I loved the family dynamic of the Willow Coven and really enjoyed reading this story. Tatyana and Hunter have a wonderful sensual chemistry. Since this is a debut for this storyline there was a lot of plot building accented by intimate encounters. This is Jacquelyn Frank's writing as JAX. Hunter is a much more sensual, erotic and highly sexual off shoot from her normal works. The sexual scenes are explosive and highly descriptive. If you enjoy a good erotic, paranormal romance check out Hunter. Great start to what could be a wonderful new erotic series. The pace of the story was fast and worked as it was action packed with something always going on until the conclusion. A couple of things I did not care for is that the ending fight between good and evil happened so fast, one time they were in the planning stages and then poof it was over. I think it needed something more in the end as there was a general lack of drama. Also, I was not sure about Tatyana's family, and how she was going to explain away her absence from her job and the close knit family she talks about, it was just not well addressed. None the less, this is a great paranormal romance full of action and romance and I hope to see more from this series in the future.

I have to say, this was a good read. However, it kept referencing past events that usually you can piece together and have that aha moment at the end, but in this story it was like a great void. The whole time reading I felt like I was missing a part of the storyline. I love this author's books and look forward to continuing to read her books, but this one I won't be reading again.

I really enjoyed this book. I didn't read the first one so this is my introduction into the series. It was violent and there is sexual assault addressed in this book. I hope the women and the men in their lives can overcome the trauma. I look forward to reading more of this series. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, when love is offered and accepted.

Here is where you can be a Hunter. But there IS rules. 1: Only girls. If you're a boy, then you can make a girl character. 2: You cannot be a daughter of like Artemis or Hestia or Gaea; those types of goddesses. 3: You can't be like "Weapons: flaming sword" or "Powers: controlling the earth". You can do the second one, but you have to be a daughter of Hades. 4: No cussing. 5: Must be single. 6: Have fun!
