This book keeps you on a roller coaster of emotions. Camille Howard is an heiress whose parents were murdered when she was young.....she discovered their bodies....the killer was not arrested. She has spent a lot of her time to time avoiding the paparazzi....she could avoid them for awhile until she was spotted again then she would move on....this led her to an art gallery and to a man, Griffin, who stole her heart and helped her find love...then she was spotted again....so this time they moved on to Romania, where she could write her dissertation on Vampires....not realizing the myth was true and her world would once again be turned upside down....finding help in the unlikely places....would she find Griff before the vampires killed him? Would she like what she finds when she does? You will have to read to find out.

The Huntress by Chris Marie Green ***I was given an advanced reading copy of this book in return for an honest review*** Camille Howard is on a quest. Her quest is to get Griff the man she loves back from vampires before it is to late. She is hoping to find Griff along with other male captives and capture the vampires to "cure" them. A team of ex-military who turned mercenaries are hunting the vampires to kill them. This is personal to both.

Vampires are not something I gravitate towards, however if a specific author is writing a story then I am intrigued. I am definitely happy I read this exciting non stop thrill ride with a fabulous storyline and deep characters. I found myself pulling for the least likely of people and hoping for the demise of others. The author was careful in threading tidbits of info throughout the book and her research was detailed. Not every vampire has glittery skin and a sexy smile. Our story surrounds Camille who has decided to make her dissertation about vampire folklore, specifically five female vampires in Romania feasting on males once a year. Taking her boyfriend, Griffin, along for a study vacation changes her world forever. Griffin becomes a feedbag for The Girls. The Huntress is Camille's story of finding Griffin and her inner tough girl. I was given an early release copy for my honest and unbiased review.

This was so good that I immediately looked for other books by this author. I am hoping for a follow-up story with Camille and Elijah pursuing Nicolai. This is not a light-hearted approach to the romantic vampire genre. It is very intense, and I could not put it down. Readers who like vampire stories but are tired of the same old thing will certainly enjoy this one.

In Vasile, Romania, an area better known as Transylvania, Camille Howard seeks strong male villagers to help her on her quest to defeat the Strigoiaca. However, none of the men she tests by wrestling them hold up for long as each submits as soon as she locks them up. Camille informs her mentor Professor Beatrix Grasu that these men would only die if they challenge the five female vampires that she wants to capture.--- Also in town is vampire hunting mercenary Elijah Sargent who has an international reputation for killing the nightcrawlers. He and Camille disagree on tactics as he insists they cannot be cured of their hunger for human blood. However, Camille disagrees based on Dr. Grasu¿s research and her hope to save her former lover Griff who has been converted to the night life.--- THE HUNTRESS is a wonderful exhilarating vampirec romance that never slows down once Camille and Elijah face off on the mission. The story line is action-packed, but the cast understands the varying motives that drive the two heroes to face the undead. The support cast augments the tale by enabling the audience to feel they are in modern day Transylvania with the vampiric Strigoiaca just a bite away. The final twist makes for quite a confrontation that will send romantic horror fans with the emphasis on the supernatural seeking future paranormal collaborations between Elijah and Camille.--- Harriet Klausner
