Makeba Walker, born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida discovered her passion for writing while she was in high school. Makeba became a single mother while she was in college, with the encouragement of her family she was able to obtain a Bachelor's degree in criminology and criminal justice and Master's degree in criminal justice.
Working in the social service field for over seven years, Makeba's passion for writing and helping people in need grew. In 2014, she was able to start a non-profit organization called Rayglens Hope, which provides services to women and their families.
