My daughter LOVES penguins and pretending her very favorite toy, a stuffed penguin, is real. We actually have gone to the zoo with our own pangoo named 'Stanley' and watched as the other penguins try to make friends. This book is very cute! It is kind of a combo of Corduroy and the Velveteen Rabbit in that the penguin has real feelings and a need to be loved by the boy. I would recommend it to the toddler/preschool age group. Very simple yet adorable text and cute pictures!
