Overview

I Beg Your Pardon, But This Is My Garden!: A story poem for children by Stephen Kindland by Stephen Kindland, Naomi Mayhue

Capturing first place in its category at the 2015 Royal Palm Literary Awards competition, "I Beg Your Pardon, But This Is My Garden!" is a wonderfully illustrated story poem for children that offers life lessons about sharing the environment and peaceful co-existence. The story, which has received excellent reviews from parents and educators, features a group of garden bugs who argue about who owns the garden they share. Paul Irving Pickett, a very wise cricket, settles matters at the end of a very long day.

About the Author

After winning several awards and traveling throughout the country during a lengthy journalism career, Stephen Kindland has turned his attention to writing children's books and freelance articles from his home in Northeast Florida. He plans to publish a second book titled The All-Natural Book of Children's Poems in the spring of 2014.

A native of Jamestown, New York, Kindland served as a child development worker after graduating from the University of New York at Buffalo.
