About the Author

My life was one adventure after another growing up. I didn't realize that I could have been easily killed or maimed by my own carelessness. Kids are so invincible you know!

However, experience with death came early in my life, through my dad dying in front of me from a little-known genetic factor, Familial Hyper Cholesterol Anemia, or clogged arteries. I was only eight years old at the time and relived his death when I went on my first call in the fire department 19 years later.

I could have died many times in this uncertain world. Here are a few examples: on Bay Farm Island stuck in shoulder-deep mud; crashing cars in the Oakland Hills; in a gas explosion at a brass foundry, with molten metal blowing up in my face; in my father-in-law's yacht, which was on fire ten miles off the Southern California coast; or being attacked and stoned by Hamas terrorists in Israel, who would have burned us to death.

Thirteen years into my career, the gene that killed my dad was uncovered in me. I thought my life was over, but God had different plans. I now know His hand has been guiding me all this time during: The Bay Farm Island Years; The Happy Days Era; The Fire Years, and My Spiritual Journey.

Join me as I relate my life full of ups, downs, laughter, and tears through what, I've been told by friends, is an inevitable screen play.
