Overview

WHEN DARKNESS AND LIGHT COMBINE, DESTINED SOULS WILL IGNITE . . .

Connected since childhood.
Two souls: one dark and one pure.
Bracing to take the greatest step of all.

River 'Styx' Nash loves his woman. Ever since he met Mae at the fence of the cult that had kept her captive as a child, he has never loved anyone else. He loves her black hair, her pale skin and of course, her ice-blue 'wolf eyes'.

Since Mae came crashing back into his life, his only wish has been to marry her; finally to make her his wife. But now the wedding is booked, and only weeks from forever having Mae by his side, a lifelong problem is plaguing him.
He wants to marry her; he has never wanted anything more . . .
. . . if only he could speak the words and declare it to the world.

Salome 'Mae' Nash's life had been filled with heartache and pain . . . until, at age eight, she met a strange dark-haired boy from the outside world. Years later, and reunited with her great love, Mae is ready to solder her heart to his. Finally, Mae is getting ready to marry her man. But her fiancé has become withdrawn. Something is deeply troubling him.
But Mae has no idea what.
Or what to do to help.

Can Styx open up and conquer his deepest pain? Or will the infamous Hangmen Mute allow his fears to overcome his love for Mae and watch their much-anticipated wedding crumble to dust?

Dark Contemporary Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, offensive language and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 and over.

"Do you, River Nash, take Salome to be your lawful wedded wife?” Looking my wolf-eyed bitch right in the eyes, I opened my mouth and, without stuttering even once, said straight to Mae, “I do, babe.” I do, babe is a novel narrating the long-awaited marriage of Mae and Styx. It has few chapters, but it was a beautiful addition to the Hangmen series. Here, Styx stole the scene. His frustration at not being able to pronounce the votes was touching. Besides the fact that he wants to give Mae this experience, we see that it was very important for him to be able to say his votes in front of everyone, to be able to declare himself to her in a loud voice. Ky as the trainee was comical. During the wedding, the long awaited moment of the votes was the romantic touch in the midst of this dark plot. Styx took off his shame and embraced the opportunity to show Mae how much he loves her. The president with a bad reputation did not mind showing weakness. Mae can not believe that she will finally marry the man she loves. The scene of her seeing herself as a bride was beautiful. The end, with the "honeymoon" on the beach was cute. Styx and Mae were able to unite their stories and found a way to live happily ever after, even if the surroundings are darker.

They finally made it official..yay! Love that Styx and Mae are finally wed..took a while for them to get here, while I'm over the moon happy for them, I wasn't to thrilled with all the repetitiveness in this novella. I actually skimmed through most of it, which really sucked since it was only sixty something pages. Still enjoyed seeing Styx and Mae tie the knot.. SR

I can't imagine Styx and Mae's wedding being more perfect. Styx had me worried there for a minute. My only complaint is I wish it were longer. 70 pages is not enough. Even though the story was played out perfectly. In my opinion it could not have been more beautiful. And the way Tillie describes the wedding in such detail including Mae and the girls dresses and the colors I could see it all in my mind. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
