About the Author

Kerrie Baldwin is an editor and writer with twenty years’ experience in children’s and adult trade book publishing. Her interest in the science behind eating disorders is fueled by her additional work as a medical editor in the pharmaceutical industry. She lives with her family in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, where she is often distracted by the clucks of wild turkey families, thoughts of her relentless to-do list, and the sight of neo-hippies hiking their way to enlightenment at the Buddhist monastery at the top of her road.

Baldwin unfolds a narrative that acts not only as a manual for what one's body experiences during recovery from a decade long eating disorder, but also a compelling story of how it effected the relationships with her loved ones and the world at large as she searched to find her place in it on her own terms. I would consider this required reading for anyone who has found themselves in the throes of a situation with unintended consequences they could never have imagined and what it takes to come out on the other side. More specifically, I hope it finds it's way to those in need and who are dealing with similar circumstances as the author
