Loved it! Wish Karen Alpert and her humor had been around when my kids were little to help me not take everything so seriously!

This book made my week. Actually had to break up the reading over several days to give my sides a rest from laughing so hard! Hope you enjoy too

Having been a father, and now a grandfather and great grandfather, I can relate to Karen's experiences as much as anyone with external plumbing can! And yes, I've changed my share of diapers, too. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything, although I admit that at the time I was pretty tired at times with the whole process. The up side is that as a grandpa I can watch with no small amount of amusement the situations my kids find themselves in as they walk the paths of motherhood with their own children. In fact, just tonight I overheard a conversation (which I will not share the details of out of deference to her privacy, and of course out of a healthy sense of self-preservation) that could have been a word-for-word replay of one from her own teenage years! Revenge is sweet! Well, sorta. Anyway, if you can get past the language, this is a great read!

My headline says it all.

Think of all of the thoughts you have in a day and write them down in no particular order. That's this book. With a better editor, or an author with more than a 6th grade knowledge of grammar, it could have been much better. As it is, I just can't read one more "anyways" in a book I paid money for.

This book had some much needed laughs though I felt most were in preview of the book. I love anything that normalizes parenting.

Hilarious and refreshingly honest. I definitely will be recommending this book! You don't have to be a parent to enjoy this read either!

This was hilarious. I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it within a couple hours.

Maybe it would be funnier for a mom with singletons.

She walked back in with her new pet mouse. She made a little hole for it. And took some of the moss from her bed and made a little bed for her mouse. She then took a leaf and made a tiny bowl. She took a berry and a small nut she found and put them in the little bowl. She put her mouse in the hole. She then decided to name it mint. Mint slowly walked over to the bowl and took the berry first. She sniffed it and took a small nibble. Then began eating the whole thing. She layed down in her bed and took a nap. Lollipopkit left mint to sleep and left to peek at another clan.

How far we have come. How nice for your children to know that they are concerned to be A--holes.
