About the Author

I Like Killer Whales the Best marks Emily Fehr's debut in children's literature, a heartfelt creation inspired by her son's imaginative play surrounding his learning of the majestic orca. Emily drew inspiration from her son's avid interest in killer whales when he was a three-year-old boy. Her storytelling is a reflection of the joy and inspiration she finds both in reading to her young grandchildren and in her role as an educator.

A recently retired teacher, Emily has dedicated the last seven and a half years to directing a children's ministry at her local church. Living in the northern city of Ft. St. John, BC, with her husband, Peter, she treasures her role as a mother to three children and a grandmother to three grandchildren, eagerly anticipating the arrival of twin grandchildren.
