Paige Snedeker previously illustrated two of her own children's books, Sofia and Her Morningstar and Camo's Journey. She lives in the Tampa Bay area with her parents and older brother. She and her brother have a rare neuromuscular disorder called Riboflavin Transporter Deficiency Type 2 (RTD) that has caused them to be Deaf, legally blind, in a wheelchair and dependent on breathing assistance. She illustrates with her mouth using various mediums and tools. For this book, Paige used a technique called 'mouth painting,' using stencils, textured paper and collages. All proceeds of this book go to charity, specifically to a foundation called Cure RTD, which is focused on researching and curing RTD. Paige loves reading, pranking her friends, baseball and her precious puppy, Sofia (unless she's biting someone). For more information, visit www.thepaigeproject.org.
