The book I Was There is a great book about the Holocaust. This book tells how Hitler came to power, and how he carried out the plan to kill all Jews in Europe. It also tells about two German boys Heinz and Gunther who wanted to join a Hitler Youth Group, but they didn't know what they were in for. It only takes a little while untill they find out that they have to kill people. To find out more of the book you'll have to read it. This book was great showing how the two boys struggled through World War II. I'd reccomend this book to anyone 12 and over. If you like books about the Holocaust then this is the book for you.
