The poem that this beautiful book is based upon is as follows: I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough Hellos to get you through the final Goodbye. Bob Perks took these verses and added to them with short stories, quotes, a bit of poetry and a scripture verse for each one. He did a lovely job of bringing the thoughts to life. This is a sweet little book with an uplifting message. The page artistry and photographs are gorgeous. This would certainly make a excellent, lovely gift. You'll want to make sure to have one for yourself, too.

This book was so uplifting and inspirational! In a world where too much never seems to be enough, Bob Perks brings the focus back to basics - where you may not have everything you want, but that you should be grateful to have what you need. Makes a perfect gift for someone in your life who needs a little perspective.

Lessons of life provide evidence of who we are and support for who we may still strive to become. Yet it is the sharing of those lessons that truly identifies the inner being and provides avenues for others to grow. Thank you, Bob Perks, for wishing me enough through reflections of your life's experiences inspired by God¿s love that whispers of both the sunshine and rain of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

" I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright." I wish you enough. The name of the book, I Wish You Enough by Bob Perks, intrigued me. My first thought was, "who wishes someone enough?" Consequently I wanted to see what gems were hidden between the pages of this little book. I was not disappointed. I read the entire book in practically one sitting. Beautifully illustrated chapters each one starting with the words "I wish you enough." captured my attention. In each chapter Perks offers motivating and inspiring personal stories and scriptures to illustrate the concept of the book, I Wish You Enough. The sometimes message of the book coupled with the attractive layout kept me reading and rereading. I think this book would make a lovely gift to brighten up someones day.

What do you wish for? Are you always wishing for more? In this gift book, I Wish You Enough, Bob Parks has seven wishes for his readers. Based on a family's tradition of saying goodbye by saying, "I wish you enough,"the author takes each part of the poem they recite to each other and adds inspirational stories of his own to each wish. The seven wishes are enough sun, rain, happiness, pain, gain, loss and hellos. Each section also contains a stunning photo and a related bible verses. The book has 121 pages and is suitable for anyone. It would make a great gift for graduations or any other occasions. There is also a page that can be personalized. This book reminds us to be grateful and satisfied with what we have and to appreciate the important moments in life. I recently had the opportunity to read "I Wish You Enough" by Bob Perks as a blogger for the Thomas Nelson Book Review program. "I Wish You Enough" encompasses 8 values needed for true contentment and happiness, and transforms them into 8 wishes-or sentiments-for the reader. Bob wrote "I Wish You Enough" after watching a father and daughter say good-bye at an airport. Throughout this book Bob reopens our eyes and hearts to the abundance all around that we so often take for granted. Throughout the book we are reminded that often the tough times make all the blessings in life larger and brighter. How often in our Christian walks and daily lives we seem to overlook the small miracles and blessing that God is giving us each day. "I Wish You Enough" is an easy read that is beautifully illustrated with gorgeous artistry and photographs. Each chapter contains insights, quotes, and Biblical references for every aspect of life. I found myself laughing, smiling, and even tearing up a bit as I read these inspiring, uplifting, and touching stories. "I Wish You Enough" is an excellent gift book for anyone, no matter what they are going through in life. Thomas Nelson Publishers has once again published an amazing book. I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their Book Review Blogger program. Through short, inspirational stories about everyday people, author Bob Perks reopens our eyes and hearts to the abundance all around that we so often take for granted. I Wish You Enough by Bob Perks is a wonderful book, easy to read, and beautifully illustrated; in which he gives insights, quotes, and Biblical references for every aspect of life or for "every reason," there is a reason to be thankful and appreciate life. I enjoyed reading this book and it makes for a very good gift for those in your life that seem to struggle with anything. Regardless of what we are experiencing, this book soothes and encourages the eyes as well as the soul. Next time you are thinking of those you love...wish them enough. My thoughts: This is a nice little gift book that could offer encouragement to a friend. The author includes short stories, quotes, and verses to go with each of the 8 values in the poem "I Wish You Enough." This is a nice book to pick up and read one story or to read through the whole thing. I found the author brought up some interesting topics about life and making the most out of life. I have many wishes for my College Girl. And I have often thought what would I wish for her the most? That is a hard one. What do you wish for your loved ones? I Wish her: Discernment, which she has quite well. Thus she can be polite yet state her view in most situations. CG also is very good at deciding who and when to share her life with. Love, to fill her life with. True deep never ending love. She has not found it yet, but she is patient and willing to wait for the right one. Joy, in her choices, in her encounters, in life. It comes down to the fact I wish her enough. Bob Perks wrote a gift book named "I Wish You Enough". It helps us focus on how we can embrace those moments in our lives. I love the attitude this book brings. Each small chapter starts with a wish that composes part of a poem. My favorite is "I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright." That alone can brighten my day. So instead of wondering what I wish for my College Girl, I have decided to sit and share this book with her. I do want to say thanks to Thomas Nelson publishing for sharing this book with me. And let me end with another line in the book "I Wish You Enough." "I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

Do you ever remember wishing upon a star for something wonderful to happen to you or someone you love? Or perhaps it was to fall in love? I had the honor to review I Wish You Enough, Embracing Life's Most Valuable Moments One Wish at a Time, by Bob Perks. These are the very books I love and add to my library when they come around. To give you an idea of what is contained in this wonderful hardbound book, this is from the back cover, " When having more leaves you empty, you discover true happiness lies in enough! Life isn't easy. There are times when we all need a little inspiration, mixed with a lot of hope, to live with a small dose of reality. In I Wish You Enough, Bob Perks presents eight wishes in a magical collection of true, inspirational stories filled with invaluable lessons about seeing the good in the mundane, and recognizing the abundant gifts God provides every day. You'll value what you already have a little more, and begin a new journey of gratitude no matter when challenges you face. You can always find 'enough' to get you through." The book contains scripture references from the Bible, wonderful quotes from famous authors and writers and beautiful pictures to go along with each of the eight wishes. My favorite wish is I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. If you think about this one statement it makes you smile. Even though the rain and clouds block out the beautiful blue sky and the warm sunshine, the sun still shines behind the storm and dark clouds. In spite of these last 5 days of continuous rain here in what is normal a sunny state, I've learned to really appreciate this wish! Too many days of sunshine, makes you take advantage of those days when you see them so much. The Biblical quote that goes hand in hand with this is "and we know that all thing work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28. Such rainy days brings me back to those childhood memories that are my favorite, walking under an umbrella and listening to the pattering of rain falling just outside my reach, or splashing in the puddles. Just knowing that the rain washes the sky from all the smog and pollution and in it's place a brilliant blue sky awaits, clear air, and the occasional rainbow. Yes, I still get excited whenever I see a rainbow. God's promises are as real today as they were thousands of years ago. Somehow we just need to look for them and keep them close to our hearts. This book does just that, it leaves you with a contagious smile after reading these simple wishes and leaves you wanting to wish someone enough! This is definitely a must read and great for a gift book for someone that needs a pick me up or a smile or hug from faraway. I for one enjoy inspirational books. I enjoy the flow of the words that are usually lyrical. I think they are great conversation pieces as well as art. After reading I Wish You Enough I felt it was true to words. I loved the phrases and terms it used. The message it portrayed shined through. There was one story about a bird that kept landing near a bird feeder and eventually nature took it's course. I didn't get the point behind it. I also found that the fact they have buried many birds in their yard as if they have had dozens of birds die was quite creepy. Besides that the pictures in the book were stunning and calming. Do I recommend this, yes! I would also give it as a gift.

This is an inspirational gift book that encompasses all of life's moments: Sun, Rain, Happiness, Pain, Gain, Loss, Hellos and Goodbyes. In fact one of the book's first pages is a "To and From" page for easier giving to others. The book takes a life moment and gives some inspirational words on the subject, tells several stories on this topic and then ends each story with a bible verse. It is beautifully laid out and very easy to read. Bob Perks does a wonderful job of speaking to the readers heart and a filling that heart with inspiration. The stories tell valuable lessons and are written to bring you closer to God.

If you want to inspire someone, the book I Wish You Enough by Bob Perks is an ideal gift book to give. This collection of true, inspirational stories will definitely touch the reader's heart and make him see things in a new perspective. We've been told time and again not to judge a book by it's cover but I Wish You Enough is not just another nicely package material. Although it's great to see that this book is hard-covered and with glossy colorful pages, its best features are in its straight-forwarded writing and page-turning short stories that will definitely inspire readers young and old.
