The author tell us about this fight between FORD and Chrysler and other companies, the author tell us about his feelings and records at work, he gives great advice to people in high level positions. I didn´t like how he express himself about FORD company, but I respect it. It is interesting to know how this leader started in business, how he did suffer, and all what he had to do to be in business. It is a pretty impressive recollection of anecdotes, data, it is fun too, it has some sense of humor and has serious elements about business and organization management. He looks like a very Human individual, very sensible to the needs of other´s and some what honest in what he thinks about the world of business and his own world. I admire the author and his reviews on other´s, he seems to be a very observing person with a lot of energy, thanks for sharing important and useful tips like the office tip, or like the management tip...

The story Iacocca, is about the automobile tycoon, Lee Iacocca and his hard struggle of making it to the top of Ford under the ownership of Henry Ford II, during a time when Henry started feeling that Iacocca was going to take over the family business. Lee spends a lot of years getting advice when he is on the lower end of Ford but once he finally gets to the top, Henry believes he is getting taken over by Lee and starts a slow, and torturous process of firing Lee's friends and making Lee do it, he fires Iacocca. After getting the boot for no reason Lee goes over to the almost bankrupt Chrysler and saves the company and has to take care of his wife who is diabetic and over time is needing a lot of medical attention. Iacocca has no idea what he is also getting himself into when he joins Chrysler after getting fired from Ford. The theme of the novel is about Lee Iacocca using he knowledge and experience to solve the huge problem of the ever crashing automobile market. I personally loved this book, and i do not tend to say that. The book has so much detail and knowledge that you can use in the business world. The author lets you know exactly what is going on at the time. It is really incredible how Lee saved Chrysler from going bankrupt even when they only had one million dollars as a whole company after taking hit after hit from unsatisfied customers. The message from the book is; do not let anyone stop you on the way to the top no matter what life throws at you. Racism also had a very big connection to the book, (keep in mind it also is the seventies) whether it was Ford saying it or Iacocca being called an Italian racial slur. I had no idea how crazy Ford II was i new his grandfather was not the greatest fellow but i guess it runs in the family. I can not remember anything i did not like about the novel accept for maybe driving my parents crazy because every time i read something interesting i told them no matter what they were doing at the time. I feel like i learn something new every time i read the book. I believe anyone that is a motorhead will enjoy this story. It will evermore improve your knowledge of the automobile. You do not even need to have a passion for cars to enjoy this book. It is very hard to put down when you hear about the stuff that was going on in the two companies. This book is a very big inspiration to people who really want to do something with their life and learn how to do it. Everyone should give this book a chance because if I like this book then there is a big possibility you will to.
