About the Author

Caroline B. Cooney was born in New York, grew up in Connecticut, and now lives in South Carolina. Caroline is the author of about 80 books in many genres, and her books have sold over fifteen million copies. Baby-Toddler—Getting dressed for a light snowfall results in happy play, real and imagined. A father with brown skin and black hair dresses his preschooler, who goes on to interact with a delightful menagerie of animals and a younger sibling, with an emphasis on hugs for every last one of them. One or two lines of rhyming text drives the story through loving scenes: "I'm going to give you a seal hug. A whiskers and nose, laugh when it snows, my toes are froze hug." Colorful illustrations complement the text, showing domestic scenes of stuffed animals at play as well as scenes with a polar bear, fox, rabbits, reindeer, cardinals, penguins, walrus, and more. The title wraps up with the child pulling a sleigh of the toy animals who had starring roles in the winter adventure.
