The Rise of the Phoenix is the first book in a series of books. It is an adventurous, full action, mysterious, and magical love story full of farriers, shape shifters, vampires, werewolves, and witches. Imi is a young girl that wakes up one day not knowing where and, more importantly, who she is, at least not until after she was surveying her father's library and uncovers the ancient book and a collection of yellowing letters. Imi (Imara Stoglin) is a Dhampiretwich (human vampire witch) that can see the future, change things with her mind, possess magical powers, and control the elements; though she does not know this. All she knows for sure is that her family is strange and getting stranger by the seconds.

Imi is struggling with her own identity when she falls hopelessly in love with the very thing that she might end up killing. When Imi finds herself in a mystical world that she never knew existed, she is drawn closer to her own destiny. Then she suddenly realizes, "When you finally meet your destiny, it is like nothing you have ever experienced. You instantly know that this is the part of you that has always been missing. Like the rise of the phoenix when eyes meet eyes, you know you are his and he is yours for all of eternity."

IMI STOGLIN - The Rise of the Phoenix, was everything I hoped that it would be... from Imi's whirlwind birth, to the fast pace of events & strong character figures that compliment Imi's amazing journey. I am looking forward to seeing where the next book takes her!

I have just finished reading Imi Stoglin, The Rise of the Phoenix... To be honest, i have to admit the first few chapters were a struggle for me, having read and watched a fair number of fictional stories. The story line took an unexpected turn and eventually became captivating. I found myself unable to put this book down. It is simply written and could easily be ready and followed by readers of many ages, from tween thru adult. The ending of Imi Stoglin Rise of the Phoenix, leaves you longing for next edition in the "Imi Stoglin" Series. I can hardly wait to find out what is in store for Imi, Blaze and her friends.

Imi Stoglin: The Rise of the Phoenix by Linda Lee is a intriguingly captivating fantasy fiction book. It is a combination of “Harry Potter”, “Underworld” , Native American lore, with a “Lord of the Rings” mix. The characters are interesting and compelling. You will fall under the spell of them as they lead you along their uncertain trail. The plot is gripping and mature. It keeps the reader eager for “what happens next”. The book is well written and aesthetically pleasing. Follow Ima and her friends as she learns about herself, after suffering a traumatic experience, as they race against time to save those they love and the world as they know it. Linda Lee is an award-winning author of several children’s books who brings that same dedication and professionalism to her fantasy fiction books. I highly recommend this book. -GL Skye
