Overview

A Children of Angels Novel

When Alexandria Grace Groaban was a child, she learned she was very different from other children and adults she encountered. She saw and heard things that no child should ever bear witness to. She knew details of things and people long since passed, and she could hear voices and repeat them in whatever language she heard during the scenes which played out before her young and impressionable eyes.

Through an encounter with someone she thought to be her guardian angel, Alexandria was given a reprieve so that she might know some normalcy in her childhood. But at the age of twenty-one, Alexandria returned home to her family's small estate outside Oxford, England for Christmas, and learned the hard way that her grace period was about to come to an abrupt and vicious end.

Now, whether for better or worse, she will find herself on the edge of a great precipice. One that will call her into action and into a world that she could never have fathomed existed. For Alexandria to know who and what she truly is, she will have to rise to the challenge of a battle that has been waged for millennia by beings first spoken of in Genesis, and embrace that which has lay dormant within her since she was a child.

About the Author

Natalie D. Wilson is a lover of the written word by profession and by heart. Her days are spent encouraging youngsters, at the elementary school where she serves as a library-media specialist, to become lifelong readers. She and her husband, Will, are Georgia natives and the proud parents of four very precocious and messy rescued parrots. The Immortal Reborn series is Natalie's first foray into the world of authorship, and the development of an idea which first began with a simple piece of music years ago. It is her hope that you will find the world she envisions as captivating as she has, as she developed and imagined the world of the Nephilim.

Reviewed by Lit Amri for Readers' Favorite Arianna is a Nephilim or a half angel, born to a mortal mother, Maireid, and the angel, Ganymede. She was the first of her kind and became a teacher and a healer to the other Nephilim. When she died, they pleaded for her return. Although reluctant, she agreed and is reborn as Alexandria, daughter of Lady Juliana and Lord Errol Fitzgerald Groaban. When a Nephilim of the Fallen tries to kill the twenty-one-year-old Alexandria, Ganymede and the others feel that it is time to tell Alexandria the truth. Immortal Reborn - Arianna's Choice (Volume 1) is written by Natalie D. Wilson. The beginning chapters start slowly; a matter which never fails to make me impatient but the story is fascinating so that my interest didn't waver. I had a little trouble in trying to grasp the time period when Alexandria’s story takes place. I guessed it as somewhere between Victorian era right to the late '50s – because of the family’s butler and her parents’ title – and gradually got it right as the present time. The story already has the angels and demons theme that I love, and the well-thought out plot is a welcome bonus. I instantly gravitated towards Alexandria although her initial hesitation to accept her real identity frustrated me a little. The life at Aeoferth Hall also slows the pace down more than I like.  Even so, Immortal Reborn is a fine tale by Natalie D. Wilson and one of the best I've read so far. A solid read.

There is so much to read... information to process.. characters to learn! I enjoyed the journey I took in reading this book. Although it is the start of a series, I did not feel like it ended as a cliffhanger. It was more like the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowlings, or the Adept series by Piers Anthony. I think that this series may get me throgh enforced bed rest!

I began this book with some trepidation. I remember reading about angels marrying humans but thought of them as 'fallen ones'. I was afraid this might be another vampire story. But in truth, I couldn't put it down! It is an outstanding book & the author is a very good story teller! No foul language, no explicit sex, just a wonderful feel-good read!
