Overview

From USA Today Bestselling Author Kelly McClymer comes a story of two black sheep who find that a life of adventure brings them the most dangerous risk of all: love.

Praise for The Impetuous Bride

"Heartwarming and romantic but historic in the events of migrating slaves and immigrants. This was one of the best of this series." -- R. Ortiz

Rosaline Fenster ran away from the altar and her proper British upbringing to avoid being trapped in London living a stiff Victorian lifestyle. After years in America, she is on a mission for the Underground Railroad to help a desperate young slave couple escape the South only to discover that her safe house is no longer safe.

Wagonmaster Rob Lewis knows an unmarried woman on his wagon train spells trouble. Especially when the unmarried lady in question likes to wear bloomers and shoots straighter than most men. But his lively young daughter needs a woman to tend to her while he gets his wagon train safely across the treacherous western terrain.

With the welfare of a young child at stake, can two wild hearts find a way to compromise long enough to make it to San Francisco?

Meet the Author

Kelly McClymer fell in love with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White as a child. Her most prized possession is her copy of The Complete Tales of the Brothers Grimm. These are the stories which gripped our ancestors as they huddled around the fire at night, which taught countless children to persevere through hardship and succeed against the odds. Her favorite fairytale remains "The Six Swans" -- where a young sister must not speak a word for six years in order to save her brothers from their stepmother's evil spell.

...In addition to her historical romance series, Once Upon a Wedding, Kelly also has five YA novels out with Simon & Schuster, including the Salem Witch Tryouts series featuring teen cheerleading witch Pru Stewart.

My favorite of the series is still book 5. This one is good, I enjoyed the set up of the story, and had a good ending, even though I felt it was rushed, I enjoyed the journey. It is a different story, about the Underground Railroad, wagon trains, and hardships. (ljb)

I started this series with the first free book and ending up having to buy the entire series. After I read one, I had to find out what happened next. Very engaging characters and entertaining. I especially like the tidbits which gave a little insight to what the main characters from the other books were up to.
