Reviewed by Romuald Dzemo for Readers Favorite In Creeps the Night is a gorgeous collection of scary stories featuring different authors and styles of writing. The stories in the collection are filled with all forms of creepy characters, including ghouls, goblins, ghosts, and other creatures that lurk in the night. But it isn’t just about the imaginary creatures that can scare humans out of their wits; some of the stories in this collection feature well developed human characters that fans of horror fiction will immediately love. Some of the short stories will draw readers in by their masterful use of the first person narrative voice, others will excite readers with the sheer suspense which makes readers long to know what happens next and the element of “creepy” that permeates the entire collection, and others will just love the descriptions that are vivid, opening a secret door to the dark corners of the author’s imagination. Note that not all the stories of In Creeps the Night have the same level of that tight writing that readers expect to see in short stories, but some of them are just wonderfully written. I particularly enjoyed Now You See Them by Kayleigh Edwards, The Loop by A.D. Trosper, and The Face of Evil by Kevin G. Bufton. It is evident that lovers of horror short stories will find this collection highly entertaining. The authors have demonstrated wonderful imaginations, each at their level. This is a book for those who love short stories with compelling characters and the kinds of surprises that make one jerk, look around, and blink again. There is a gem of a story in this collection that will find a welcome home in the heart of any horror fiction lover.
Reviewed by Rabia Tanveer for Readers' Favorite In Creeps The Night by Marissa Ames and others is a collection of hair raising stories. This anthology of horror short stories is enough to give you the creeps when you are in the mood for some. There are 50 stories and, believe me, you are going to love them because they will scare the pants off you. I consider collections like this the best because it gives me plenty of options to get my shivers and thrills from the kind of story I am in the mood for. The collection gives a wide variety of spooky stories, from goblins, people, the Halloween spooks, and even monsters. So if you are a fan of any of these, you will love this book as much as I did. The best thing about this book was that it was a quick read, despite being a collection of stories. I literally finished this in about two hours. All the writers have written their stories exceptionally well, especially Murder House. I really, really liked that. And of course, by the time I was done reading this book, I was too scared to sleep or even close my eyes. I spent at least half an hour debating whether to leave my blankets to use the bathroom or not. Regardless to say I was thoroughly spooked. Would I read it again? Yes, absolutely, but in daylight, probably with my mother in the room with me. If you are not easily scared, you will love this book. If you are, boy, are you gonna have some sleepless nights! The cover is amazing. Very eye catching.
