This book is a perfect example of what I look for in a satisfying erotic romance. It has a dramatic and compelling storyline that enhances the sexuality of the characters as opposed to a shallow storyline that features a lot of smutty sex that fails to live up to the romantic connection I need to feel in order to really enjoy the book. Elizabeth is a highly principled and brilliant accountant with a photographic memory who has just been fired when she literally stumbles into Alexander Fairhaven in the pouring rain. He is the wealthiest man on the East Coast with a sexy body to go along with his gorgeous face and his British accent. He is instantly attracted to Elizabeth because of her beauty and her intelligence while he also recognizes her submissive nature which speaks to the Dom in him and brings out all of his protective instincts. As Alexander and Elizabeth grow closer and begin their sexual relationship they have no idea of the lengths her former employers will go to keep her from revealing their multi-million dollar embezzlement scheme. I absolutely loved this riveting and suspense filled drama that spoke to the romantic in me and left me totally satisfied in every way. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

I was a little afraid opening this book that it was going to be another one of those sub meets Dom, Fifty Shades rip off. I mean, let’s face it…they’re out there. I was surprised to find, however, that this was not only a solid romance, but a bit of a thriller/mystery as well. Elizabeth comes from a wealthy family, but has led a life away from wealth and power after she saw the greed that consumed her family. She strives to live a successful life free of her past, but is dragged into it all over again when she is framed for tax fraud and embezzlement. She’s at the center of a conspiracy, trying to figure how to prove her innocence when she meets him. And by him I mean Alexander Fairhaven. He’s rich, he’s powerful and he’s a Dom who recognizes the sub in Elizabeth. When she finds shelter in his limo in the middle of a storm, he is instantly intrigued. He wants her in his bed, and wants to find out what motivates her. He’s intrigued. He wants to push her limits. But will it be too much for Elizabeth? Will she make it out of the conspiracy she’s embroiled in with Alexander’s help? As mentioned, I was very surprised at the suspense that this book created. I was not expecting that! I mean, aside from the hot Fairhaven brothers, the hotter sex and the BDSM element to it, it was a good book with a plot. Go figure! What a refreshing thing! I really liked Elizabeth in this story, I have to say. She was strong, yet had a very real vulnerability about her that was endearing not only to Alexander, but the reader as well. I totally got why Alex was hot to trot for the lovely Liz…I would probably go a bit lesbian for her myself. And Alex…oh he is alpha male hotness personified. Honestly, his best quality is that he’s a gentleman…a gentleman with a wicked side. I thought that was awesome. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was a well told story with a deep and engrossing plot that was able to strike a good balance between steamy romance and suspense. Few books are able to straddle genres so well, but this one did it. 4.5 stars. Reviewed by Sara Squared for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy Provided for review*

Elizabeth Bennett is smart, poised, and in trouble. Alexander Fairhaven is a billionaire Dom who's never met a woman who was his match - until now. There was recently another book series about a billionaire Dom, made into a movie, that was a home run in some ways, and a trainwreck in others.  THIS heroine is not a terrified and ignorant 21 year old virgin.  She may be inexperienced at play in the BDSM world, but she has a vibrator and knows how to use it. THIS hero is too experienced and caring a Dom to force or pressure a woman into his silks (all his toys are made of silk). He doesn't tantrum, he has a staff, but he is also not available 24/7, because being a billionaire means sometimes you have stuff to do. Everything that made me want to throw that other book against the wall, Eddy gets right here. And when characters get hurt, they don't go from death's door injured to acrobatically boinking two paragraphs later, another pet peeve of mine with romantic suspense.  Sex scenes are superhot, and there's great use of occasional comic bits. And a fabulous cat. If you loved that other book, I encourage you to give this one a read.  If you hated that other book, pick this up to see how it's done right.

Wasnt a bad read. It could have used more heat in my opinion. Story was good, and the hint of drama and suspense was refreshing for erotic romance. For sure connected with the main man. I would not mind being wrapped in his silks for an evening or five.
