Photographer Von Hassell has spent decades capturing extraordinary images of American freedom: the faces, farms, cities, and celebrations that make our land so diverse. This photographic collection of America includes such patriotic scenes as Independence Day in New York, officers practicing military routines, and glorious battleships being paraded home. It also features breathtaking landscapes, like mellow fence-lined dunes, blossoming meadows, and distant mountains. You'll also encounter the happy faces of children and lovers, as well as the burdened expressions of workers and soldiers; the rural fruit stand on the side of a dirt road and the excitement of a crowded rally, the simple and the cosmopolitan. For anyone who loves this great nation, In Honor of America will be a unending source of pride.
Fifty percent of the profits of this book will be donated to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, a group that provides for the children of fallen Marines, law enforcement officers, and others, including the children of our British Allies killed in the Iraq War.
