I am a big Alice Walker fan and this book does not disappoint. The stories are inciteful and thought provoking. I saw myself many times and what better compliment than to indentify.

This book was very enjoyable. Alice really describes the lives of many black women and the hardships that they went through, through this collection of short stories. The purpose really hits home. I highly recommend this book. It wasn't slow, or difficult to understand.
