In Other Words: The Other C-Word by M. K. Schiller

Can she overcome her consuming desire for him? Can he make her comfortable with the other C-word...commitment?

Marley Mason is dreading the arrival of the new business consultant. After all, this man will most likely outsource her job to China. The last thing she would expect is a case of mistaken identity, leading to false accusations of kidnapping when she attempts to pick up the wrong man at the airport, or worse...that she would have such a visceral reaction to the right man.

Rick Randy is super sexy, scandalously flirty, and perfect masturbation material, but a relationship is out of the question. Rick is contracted on a temporary basis to fix Marley's ailing company, and then pull out, although as he expresses to Marley, pulling out is difficult for him, in more ways than one! Marley's feelings range from utter confusion to intense contemplation as Rick charms his way into her life. All of those C-words Marley can control, but it's the other C-word she fears-commitment.

I would have given The Other C-Word more than 5 stars if possible. This book was so moving and wonderful, it more then deserved them. I had two favorite parts to this book, one of which was from Adam, who was just a supporting character in the book, but M.K. Schiller wrote  the best wedding vows for Adam that a woman can only dream of being that loved. And the last paragraph in the last chapter summed the family in the book up, and probably most families up perfectly. Rick was an amazing man and obviously perfect for Marly. The scene from the morning after they spent their first night together had his love shining through. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

M.K. Schiller got me … this is the first book I read by her and was blown away by the dialog … this was laugh out loud witty banter, real-life conversations that you could picture at someone's house (either your own or someone you know). Marley is someone I want as a friend – she is a strong person dealing with some really harsh demons from her past. Her family (Mom and 2 sisters) are an incredible support team. Gotta love dessert at their house … dish to dish … what a beautiful idea. We open with Marley be asked at the last minute to pick up the consultant coming to fix the company she works for, she expects to be fired, at the airport. Bring on "R U Randy", an attempted kidnapping then watch the sparks fly. Rick Randy, I think the last name sums it up! Rick challenges Marley. Marley doesn't do relationships, sex is a physical only to her but Rick pushes buttons and ignites feelings she didn't think she had within her. The back and forth between Marley and Rick is fabulous. Their connection feels natural and authentic … you have to love "Big Dick" and "Garter Belt Girl" … you will laugh, cry and cheer.
