In Perfect Solitude, her first poetry collection, Julia Golden passionately expresses life's many joys and long sufferings that in some way or another we can all intimately relate to. Her honesty, artistry, and empathetic nature are vividly portrayed in these heartfelt poems. These poems speak with such conviction, uttered with a tender and sensible voice. She writes with clarity and nostalgically about love and youth, pain and loneliness, enticing the reader into incidents that are deeply personal to her, and yet universal.
