ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Petree married Cheryl Ulrich on June 10, 1966, they have two daughters, six grandchildren and three dogs. Dr. Petree's life experience includes, 20 years as a counselor in private practice, Critical Incident Officer for the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office and SRO for Muskogee County. He developed the protocol for Critical Incident Response on school campuses and holds periodic trainings for school districts across the state of Oklahoma. Dr. Petree Founded and directs the "Oklahoma Education Critical Incident Network" and the "United States Campus K-9's".

Dr. Petree has been helping people in times of crisis for about 45 years. He was involved with the survivors and their families in New York City after 9/11. He provided aid to the survivors and families after the Oklahoma City Bombing and worked with first responders, law enforcement personnel after the I 40 bridge collapse. Additionally he has responded to hundreds of homicides, suicides, fires and fatality auto accidents on school campuses as well as a fire department Chaplin.

Dr. Petree is also the author of "Why Are Our Kids Killing Kids" and "In Perspective". Dr. Petree speaks regularly on topics that pertain to school safety, pre-preparedness and the day after. He has spoken at local, state and national conferences for school superintendents, school board members, Principals and counselors. He regularly provides in service presentations and trainings for school districts. As well making guest appearances on radio talk shows across our nation, in Asia, Europe, Canada and South America.
