About the Author

Dr. Marlin Griffith is a clinical and forensic psychologist practicing in Oakland, California. Following his eight-year Air Force tour, Captain Griffith entered graduate school in experimental psychology at San Francisco State College and transferred to the University of Colorado, where he received a doctorate in clinical psychology in 1975. Dr. Griffith’s clinical career includes psychiatric inpatient treatment at Alameda County Highland General Hospital, community mental health administration at Westside CMHC, San Francisco, substance abuse treatment at Alta Bates Hospital, Berkeley, and employee assistance program administration at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.
He is currently a Consultant Psychologist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto. He lives with his wife Melanie in Oakland.
