In The Service Of Dragons Ii by Robert Stanek

Dark change is sweeping over the lands. An ancient evil has returned from the dark past, and the dark forces gather. War comes to the lands as the queen of the elves foretold. Though despair abounds and evil seeks to reign, there is hope. Queen Mother sees hope through a union of the divided peoples: an alliance of men and elves to fight against the forces of darkness. But between men and elves there is no love and little trust. Only truth and faith can guide their destinies. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to all, the early battles for the future against the coming darkness have already been fought. These battles, won at great cost and by the barest of margins, were meant to divert attention from what Noman, the mysterious Keeper of the City of the Sky, can only guess at as he works to gather the company he believes holds the key to the future. Will the kingdoms of men and elves fall? Will the peoples succumb to the darkness? Who will live? Who will die? The answers are in Book Two. Recommended for ages: 12 and up. Books themselves are pretty short. A lot of junk at end of books about the fantasy world, etc. Story line isn't too bad. Lots of misspellings & layout errors, but readable.

Robert Stanek is a wonderful author who can write exactly what a reader likes. This is the best book I have ever before read, everything you would want in a book is right here it is so good at painting a mental picture in your head. I loved it from the moment I read the first page of this. Get lost amongst the fantasy of dwarves, dragons, elves, magic and humans!

This book will keep you reading from cover to cover. The blend of intense action amazing landscapes and jawdropping events makes this book anyting but boring. Vilmos and Xith travel to amazing place and Valam journeys in the elvin kingdoms. This book is a MUST READ for fantacy readers and is great read for anyone who wants a good adventure book.

This was the best book I have ever read. The only one better is the first one. I used to be crazy about Harry Potter, but not any more. I couldn't stop reading In the Service of Dragons because it was so good. It is a bit challanging but I read it when I was ten. Me and two other people who loved it tried to get our teacher to read it but she didn't because some people just decided that they didn't like it without even looking at it. But they are crazy. IT IS THE BEST BOOK ON EARTH.

This book is amazing, and came close to Lord of the Rings! It was one of those books I couldn't put down, and that doesn't happen often. This is very suspensful, and I was upset when it was over because I wanted more!

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. It is incredible! I have ordered the third one, which comes out in June. I know I will breeze through it so fast.
